🍳 𝑮𝒆𝒕 𝑬𝒈𝒈𝒄𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒅! 𝑮𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒖𝒑 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒚𝒆𝒂𝒓'𝒔 𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆'𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒀𝒐𝒍𝒌 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒃 (𝑽𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒎𝒆 3)

How in the world was the last "Where's the Yolk?" collab in 2023? Well, it's about time to crack those eggs again for Volume 3, as Justine @confectionsbyj joins me as co-host for this year's edition on May 1st (the start of National Egg Month).

No yolk, here are the details:

Film / Take photos of a bake or dish that uses leftover eggstra yolks. It can be something that uses whole eggs, as long as it includes additional yolks as an ingredient. (The spirit of the collab is to demonstrate what can be done with egg yolks, when a recipe otherwise calls for just the egg whites.)

The result is a compilation of recipes and inspiration for folks to reference the next time they find themselves figuring out what to do with those yolks after they make their macaron shells, pavlovas, angel food cakes, egg white soufflés, etc. For some inspiration, check out what's been shared in the past: #wherestheyolkcollab

If you'd like to join in, Comment below and/or DM me or Justine to join! And check out other Collabs to join via @findacollab !

Another book themed bake ✨

Have you read Defy the Night yet?

I loved everything about Defy the Night by @brigidkemmerer so it was only natural that I combine my love for baking and books for this one.

I filled these with a honey buttercream and apple filling, inspired by the honey apples that Tessa and specifically Wes shared. I also am obsessed with the book cover so I colored some candy wafers and used chocolate molds to get the flower designs onto the macarons. For more details on making these macarons, checking out my baking on @confectionsbyj ☺️

Fun fact: I also bake 👩🏻‍🍳 @confectionsbyj

So I figured why not combine my love for baking and reading and make macarons inspired by some beautiful books.

I just finished reading The Scorpion and the Night Blossom by @ameliewenzhao and I’ve been obsessed with the cover and edges since this was released so I made macarons inspired by just that.
