It’s hard to put into words how grateful I am for @christie.valdiserri and @baldtourage. When Gianna started losing her hair last year, I had such a deep sadness and grief that I’ve never experienced before as a parent. Feeling handfuls of her beautiful curls fall out in my hand every night while I brushed her hair was heartbreaking, and I wasn’t sure if this deep feeling of sadness would ever get better. I worried if she’d still be able to have a happy and confident life. I worried how other people and children would treat her. Most importantly, I worried how I would be able to relate to her feelings of sadness and confusion as she watched her hair fall out. Having the opportunity to join @confidenceclubbb where shes met beautiful and talented girls just like herself has been absolutely life changing for her. Gianna’s confidence with her alopecia has blossomed into something so amazing and it wouldn’t have been possible without Christie. She sees firsthand that just because you’re bald doesn’t mean people won’t like you. It doesn’t mean you aren’t beautiful, and it doesn’t mean that your dreams aren’t possible. I’m so grateful that she has such a beautiful role model that reminds her how powerful, confident and unique she is every week. Christie, I hope you receive every beautiful blessing that the world has in store for you. You have touched so many lives and I can never repay you for all that you’ve done for both me and my baby. ♥️
