We couldn’t remember how we met.

Someone introduced us.
And so we met up and then we met up again and then she came to my thing, and I came to her thing and today we are having lunch together at a luncheon for the Union Gospel Mission. A whole bunch of divine meeting up happened. 🙏🏼
@confrontingthestorm Denise is quick to invite others in, trust and include them. And I believe most every invitation from a woman of God is an invitation to know God better. It’s just such a joy to be in more and more rooms with people like Denise. 🩷

Farmers markets are the best place to spend your weekend! Go visit the Built Booths this weekend! At PSU, you'll see House of Trinh, Woodlawn will feature Kachka, Rocky Butte has some amazing hot sauce with Tortuga Gordo, Beaverton is hosting Confront The Storm and on Sunday, you will find Garliki at the Pearl District culinary market. Extra bonus this weekend in the Pearl, the Executive Director of the Oregon Farmers Market Association, Hazel Valdez is the featured chef! If you haven't visited that one yet, this is definitely the weekend to go!

This month we are partnering with our friend Ian Williams @eeeweezie of @deadstockcoffee ☕️ for an absolutely perfect sandwich for April! ✨

There’s no time better than Spring for new things and bold choices. We proudly offer our “Turkey on Whole Wheat”.

Sounds like an April Fool’s joke, but it’s not. 😉 It’s one of Ian’s childhood taste memories. It’s a sandwich he still eats as an adult when he wants the comfort and warm embrace of something familiar and oh so satisfying.

We’ve elevated it slightly by house curing and smoking turkey pastrami and painstakingly layering his ingredients into a massive but very manageable sandwich. 🥰 🥪

Turkey on Whole Wheat:
house turkey pastrami, sharp cheddar, provolone, mayo, mustard, pickles, tomato, cukes, cabbage slaw

But wait, there’s more! A portion of the proceeds of this sandwich will support the incredible work of his mom and founder of Confronting the Storm, Denise Williams! ❤️ @confrontingthestorm

Committed to developing and improving the understanding and severity of mental illness, encouraging individuals to seek support without apprehension, anxiety or fears.
