A Back-to-School Prayer 🙏📚❤️

Heavenly Father,

As we begin a new school year, we lift up our children, teachers, administrators, coaches, and every person who walks through the doors of our schools.

May Your peace and protection cover the entire school. May Your love and joy fill the halls, classrooms, playgrounds, athletic areas, and every corner of the campus.

Give our children curious minds, kind hearts, courage, and wisdom. Help them grow—not only in knowledge, but in character, confidence, compassion, and faith.

Place positive influences and meaningful friendships in their paths. Help them choose kindness when it’s difficult, stand up for what is right, and be a light to those around them.

Most importantly, may they shine for Jesus in the way they live, speak, serve, and love others. Let their lives be a reflection of Your goodness wherever they go. Bless those families that are facing challenges, hardships, and loss.

Protect our children from harm, anxiety, loneliness, and negative influences. Give teachers patience, strength, and encouragement as they pour into the next generation.

Lord, go before our children this year. Walk beside them each day and bring them home healthy and safe-each afternoon.

May this be a year of growth, learning, friendship, joy, and unforgettable moments—and may Your presence be felt in our schools every single day. Equip us parents to support and show up to the best of our potential as you have called us to do.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen. 🙏❤️

☀️Here’s to another year around the sun! 🙏As my birthday approaches, I’ve been asking myself a question that goes deeper than a number…

What is my “WHY”? 🫶

WHY do I get up early and go to the gym when I’d rather stay in bed?
WHY do I choose the walk when the couch sounds easier?
WHY am I paying more attention to what I put into my body?
WHY do I get up and go to church when I can stay home and catch up?
WHY am I challenging myself to become stronger, healthier, and more disciplined?

Because my WHY isn’t a number on the scale.
It isn’t a certain size of jeans.
And it isn’t about trying to look younger.

My WHY is LIFE. 🙏

I want the strength, energy, and mindset to serve with the people I love.
I want to be present for my family and all the seasons still ahead.
I want to take care of the body God gave me and steward it well.
I want have supernatural peace and joy that only Jesus can give.
I want to feel strong enough to handle whatever life brings.
I want to grow older with strength, confidence, purpose and gratitude—not wishing I had started sooner.

This picture feels like a pretty good reminder of that WHY. ❤️
A sunrise. A walk. My partner for life beside me. My fur baby who’s always up for adventure. 🐾

As another birthday approaches, I’m realizing I don’t want to just add years to my life—I want to add LIFE to my years.

So here’s to another year of choosing health, movement, faith, family, growth and purpose.

My birthday challenge isn’t to become a different person.
It’s to become the strongest, healthiest version of the woman I’m already becoming.

And I’m just getting started. 💪🏼☀️❤️

What’s YOUR WHY?
Because when your WHY is bigger than your excuses, everything changes.

We enjoyed another night at the rodeo that has become our hometown tradition! It’s amazing to watch all of the action with the athletes and animals. It was a nice evening under the Texas sky to sit back, relax, and enjoy time with our family and friends. We are making the most of the last few days of summer break! ♥️☀️🐴
