Happy Sunday, We The People.

Apparently, reaching elected officials now requires an archaeological expedition through layers of emails, tags, DMs, public events, hallway encounters, persistence, patience—and
gatekeepers.

Interesting.

But school is opening whether anyone answers us or not.

New York has established a Financial Literacy Requirement with personal finance at its core.

Wonderful.

Now comes the part that doesn’t fit neatly into a photo op: making sure every student actually receives it.

Every school.
Every neighborhood.
Every ZIP code.
Not just the fortunate ones.

The congratulations have been given.

The panels have spoken.

The pictures have been taken.

Can we fund the actual requirement now?

Help THE WEALTH LAB keep the question impossible to ignore.

🌹 77 YEARS. MY MOTHER. MY FOUNDATION. MY HOME.

My mother and I are only 17 years apart.

A child was raising a child.

At 17, while still finding herself, she was suddenly responsible for helping me find my way—and somehow, she did.

Today, I want to honor her properly.

My mother turns 77 years young, and I want to give her her flowers, her crown, her recognition, and all my love.

My name is Tyrone Glover, Executive Director of Yonkers Young Entrepreneurs, CEO of Leverage Credit Recovery, and creator of THE W.E.A.L.T.H. LAB.

But before any title—

I am her son. And I always will be.

My mother’s impact goes far beyond me. She has loved, supported, and poured into so many in Yonkers, New York.

As I’ve grown, I realize where I get my drive, my service, and my love for this city.

I got it from her.

So today, I don’t just celebrate her age.

I honor the 17-year-old girl who had to grow up too fast.

I honor every sacrifice, every unseen struggle, every quiet strength, and every life she touched.

Mom, I see you. I appreciate you. I love you.

Happy 77th Birthday, Mother 👑🌹

May this next chapter bring you the same love you’ve given your whole life.

Because your journey is still unfolding—and so is ours.

With everything I am,

Your Son,
Tyrone ❤️

Today, I give my mother her flowers while she is here to receive them. 🌹

Today I need everyone on social media to help me celebrate someone who means the world to me.

Happy 8th Birthday to my nephew… my son… my Prince, Jaxx. 🎉🎂👑

From the very first day we met, you greeted me with that unforgettable smile everyone knows so well. It stole my heart then, and eight years later, it still does.

Today, upon your head, my Prince, I place an invisible crown—not of gold, but of strength, courage, endurance, love, humility, peace, kindness, curiosity, wisdom, and unapologetic Black excellence. May you always stand tall, think for yourself, treat others with respect, and never forget who you are.

I’m not your biological dad, but Jaxx, you’ve given me one of life’s greatest gifts—you’ve made me a proud father in every way that matters.

Keep smiling. Keep laughing. Keep asking a million questions. (Yes… even the ones that make all the adults work for the answer! 😂)

The world is brighter because you’re in it, and I cannot wait to see the incredible young man you’re becoming.

I love you with all my heart, today and always. ❤️

Now come on, social media… let’s fill the comments with birthday wishes and show this extraordinary 8-year-old just how loved he is!

🎉🎈🎂 Happy 8th Birthday, Prince Jaxx! 👑❤️

WELCOME TO AUGUST.

WELCOME TO THE W.E.A.L.T.H. LAB.

A new month has arrived.

Some people see another page on the calendar.

We see another chance to prepare the next generation for the one test life gives everyone—adulthood.

Because adulthood doesn’t ask whether you memorized the answers on a worksheet.

It asks whether you know how to earn, save, budget, borrow wisely, invest, build, recover, and leave something better than you found it.

August is where teachers prepare.
Students wonder.
Parents hope.
Communities reset.

And somewhere, a future graduate is one lesson away from changing the trajectory of an entire family.

Here’s the good news:
You don’t have to know everything.

You just have to be willing to learn.

(And yes… if your bank account could talk, it would probably ask why you bought that thing you swore was “on sale.” Financial literacy has a sense of humor, too.)

At THE W.E.A.L.T.H. LAB, we believe education should prepare students not only for graduation—but for rent, taxes, credit, entrepreneurship, investing, opportunity, setbacks, and the confidence to navigate all of it.

This isn’t just about money.

It’s about freedom.
Responsibility.
Choices.
Legacy.

Welcome to August.

Let’s make this the month we stop preparing students only for exams—and start preparing them for life.

Class is in session. The future is waiting. FUND THE REQUIREMENT. FUND THE FUTURE.

Twin Day

🚨 DAY 2: WHERE IS THE FUNDING?

New York made Financial Literacy a graduation requirement.

Great.

Now answer the question every taxpayer should be asking:

Where is the funding?

Requirements don’t educate students.

Investment does.

Teachers don’t train themselves.

Districts don’t create programs from thin air.

Communities shouldn’t have to fund what the state requires.

If financial literacy is important enough to mandate, it should be important enough to fully fund, properly implement, and measure.

Our students deserve more than another unfunded promise.

They deserve preparation for life.

Because after graduation, nobody gives you extra credit for not understanding money.

FUND THE REQUIREMENT. FUND THE FUTURE.

🚨 STOP SCROLLING. THIS MAY BE THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU READ TODAY.

New York made Financial Literacy with Personal Finance at the core a graduation requirement.

Outstanding.

Now here’s the question every taxpayer, parent, educator, student, business owner, and elected official should be asking:

If it’s important enough to require, why isn’t it important enough to fully fund?

A requirement without funding doesn’t prepare a single student.

A requirement without trained educators doesn’t build financial confidence.

A requirement without implementation doesn’t change lives.

We’re less than a month away from a new academic year, yet New Yorkers deserve answers.

💰 Where is the funding?

📚 Where are the implementation guidelines?

👩🏽‍🏫 Who trained the teachers?

📊 How will success be measured?

🤝 Which districts have received support?

This isn’t about politics.

It’s about whether the next generation graduates knowing how to:

✔️ Budget

✔️ Build and protect credit

✔️ Understand taxes

✔️ Avoid predatory debt

✔️ Build wealth

✔️ Buy a home

✔️ Start a business

✔️ Protect their financial future

We spend billions fixing financial mistakes adults make.

Why aren’t we investing in preventing those mistakes before students become adults?

Financial literacy is no longer a luxury.

It is workforce readiness.

It is economic mobility.

It is consumer protection.

It is public policy.

It is one of the greatest anti-poverty strategies available.

Today is Day 1

Tomorrow I’ll ask another question.

And the next day.

And the day after that.

Until every elected official in New York answers the question the people deserve to hear:

Where is the plan?

FUND THE REQUIREMENT. FUND THE FUTURE.
