SAVE + SHARE to empower others in your life. Leave a ๐Ÿคto affirm! โ€œKeep your mind where your body is.โ€ Seems simple, yet so challenging in reality. Just try silencing your mind for even a minute, and you will encounter a constant flow of thoughts and emotions. Yet what can be more debilitating than constantly thinking, and not doing or acting on those thoughts? This is the root of anxiety. Cognitive dissonance where you want to be somewhere other than you are. What if today, you tried to train your mind to be where your body is? Fully aware (even if just for a second!) of the gift of your presence in mind + body, which is to experience true grounding. And given that today is the first day of Taurus โ™‰๏ธ season, what could be more fitting? As a fellow Taurus, Iโ€™m happy to share with you this month my grounding energy + will continue to post healing modalities, tools, rituals and mantras to help you come ALIVE not just in mind, but in complete alignment with your Soul โœจ๐ŸคโœŒ๐Ÿผ so you can feel like yourself again. If youโ€™re in for the ride, comment with a โœŒ๐Ÿผ below!!!! A goal without a plan is When I ask people about their goals, they can usually give me some sort of answer.โฃ โฃ โ€œI wanna lose weightโ€โฃ โ€œI just want absโ€โฃ โ€œI want to feel confident in my bodyโ€โฃ โฃ Then I ask, โ€œso how are you going to get there?โ€โฃ โฃ ..... (insert crickets)โฃ โฃ A lot of people have a goal in mind (whether itโ€™s to look, feel, or perform a certain way) but are disappointed in their lack of achievement. โฃ โฃ So whatโ€™s holding you back?โฃ โฃ A plan! Steps! Specific things to do that will MAKE. IT. HAPPEN.โฃ โฃ Hereโ€™s what I want you to do.โฃ โฃ 1. Create a clear idea of your goal. If itโ€™s weight loss, how much? If itโ€™s feeling confident, what does that FEEL like? Create the identity youโ€™re stepping into.โฃ โฃ 2. Map it out. This is where you walk backwards. Start with your end goal. What are the habits you need to build to create that goal? What are the fears you need to conquer? Whatโ€™s DIFFERENT between who you are ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฐ๐˜ธ and who youโ€™ll be ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ?โฃ โฃ 3. Narrow that down further to daily actions. You are what you do consistently and habitually. โฃ โฃ Hereโ€™s a simple example:โฃ โฃ I want to lose 10lbs and feel confident in my body.โฃ Confidence in my body would feel empowering, strong, energetic, outgoing, social, independent.โฃ The identity I want to take on is someone who prioritizes health and movement. Someone who is grateful. Someone who walks into a room with her shoulders back and a smile on her face. Someone who makes a promise to herself and keeps it.โฃ โฃ To create this identity I need to build knowledge and awareness around my eating habits, I need to learn mindfulness in regards my bodyโ€™s signals and my environment, I need to prioritize movement on a regular basis, I need to surround myself with supportive and loving people. I need to conquer my fear of talking to new people, of sitting with my emotions instead of eating them away, of working out and โ€œlooking stupidโ€.โฃ โฃ Daily to-doโ€™s:โฃ Move my bodyโฃ Compliment myselfโฃ Journal my feelingsโฃ Eat without distractions โฃ Create a sleep schedule โฃ Go out of my way to meet peopleโฃ โฃ Remember, a goal without a plan is wishful thinking.โฃ โฃ What are you doing to achieve your goals?!

Growing up I had little to no appreciation for my body. All I did was talk crap about it to myself and feel ashamed of it. โฃ โฃ I hated my โ€œmuffin topโ€. I was constantly adjusting my clothes to try to hide the fat I didnโ€™t like. Iโ€™d avoid social activities because I was so embarrassed about my body and fixated so much on what I didnโ€™t like and trying to avoid having other people notice those things too.โฃ โฃ It was only in the last several years I decided I was sick of living like this. Constantly feeling like crap about myself and not living my life because I wanted to hide my body. โฃ โฃ So today Iโ€™ve challenged myself to list 10 things I LOVE about my body or what my body has or continues to enable me to do!!โฃ โฃ 1. I love how soft my hair is. I literally play with it all day.โฃ 2. My body has enabled me to travel to and explore other countries. โฃ 3. My body has enabled me to lift over 300lbs.โฃ 4. My body enables me to eat incredible food!โฃ 5. I love that my body can hug people I love!โฃ 6. I love that I have naturally strong legsโฃ 7. My body enables me to feel the warmth of the sunโฃ 8. I love that my body is so resilient to lifeโ€™s challengesโฃ 9. My body enables me to createโฃ 10. I love my body for taking care of me even when I havenโ€™t treated it well โค๏ธโฃ โฃ Now I challenge you to list 10 things below that you LOVE about your body and/or that your body enables you to do!
