What can I say, this year has been the best, and also the worst year of my life. I lost a lot more than I thought I would. One of my best friends met his end, and some friends made their own. I had many other little deaths, and thought my own, at times, was imminent. Many more sad things. Such a bitter time I shared with what seemed to be the rest of the world.

But that said there were sweet, life changing, beautiful times. I have been so blessed to have people who have lifted me up, and never lost faith in me. People who encouraged me to pick up and move forward. I’ll say, that sometimes the people you need the most are right in front of your face, sometimes they’ll come out of nowhere. Maybe some were right there all along. And if you felt that there was no one there, you were.

This year I got to tour Japan, sing for one of my favorite bands, also booked another festival and made it happen, thanks to encouragement. I had the honor of showcasing some amazing talent from Denver and around the US. I wrote and recorded a new record of my own, and got to work with some of my favorite artists in Atlanta, and my actual brother doing it. I got to be with my grandma and family in Texas, and got to see my favorite band in Mexico City with great friends. I found some new wonderful people who have truly offered me kindness and healing.

It’s sad to let go of so much of the past. But those times will live in my heart forever, and I’ll do my best to only remember the good times, as hard as that may be. A new year brings new hope, and there are a lot of new things on the horizon. I can’t wait to share my new songs, and performances with the world. I can’t wait to share my future with my family, blood family, and beyond. I hope you all know who you are, there’s too many to post here.

Dont ever let the world stop you from trying to be the best version of yourself you can be. I’m still trying, often failing, maybe I’ll be trying forever. But I’m still here. Most of all, right now, I truly wish the best for us all in the year to come.
