A very belated post, but last spring as part of my thesis project I wanted to explore character design and how we portray identities in story that reflect real people through archetypal studies. This installation used a hallway space to have hand drawn sketches on one side and full scale print and stick illustrations on the other directly opposite to their corresponding sketches. Each character is from a collection of story prompts I made for myself and each character’s design was based on a person in my own life, but their experiences and stories can relate to anyone. This was such a gratifying project and to illustrate these characters has been something I wanted to do for a while now. Special thanks to my professor @more_underlines for all of you guidance because ho would I have been lost, as well as my classmates, and the people who inspired the characters themselves @danielhalsted @chelseabiancabruce @tjr.jpg @conniemb1968
