POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Connie Roses is an artist I first heard earlier this year with his album Absence and Persistence. It’s an album I liked as Connie Roses style slowly grew on me. Well he’s back before the year ends with A Planet We Don’t Know How To Possess. An album that keeps Connie’s style, but sounding increasingly sharpened even within the less than years time since I last heard him.
.
One of my favorite things about Connie Roses from A Planet We Don’t Know How To Possess and prior is his passion and delivery. Connie doesn’t show up to half ass what he’s there to do, he spits with his whole heart and it adds that extra seasoning that’s needed. Connie Roses brings a similar style as seen on Absence and Persistence but with a but more rhymes that feel sharper also. It’s a flow thats somewhat spoken word and fast paced, both are tough to pull off and Connie does a solid job. It’s not always for me but it’s been growing in me and improving simultaneously.
.
Where Connie Roses shines brightest is his content. Connie brings deep thoughts and personal insights through each song. Tracks like Red Leaves, Addiction, Fade Away, Accidental and more standout with what Connie says. And like the last album, I think Connie Roses has a good singing voice and his blending of that and his raps keeps me hooked in.
.
I really like and appreciate Connie Roses artistry even if it’s not all for me all the time. But I don’t think that Connie is aiming for that. He’s making art in his own way and that brings a dose of heart and soul that you can’t help but enjoy to some degree or another. Hence why I’ve stayed tapped in with Connie Roses since his last album and will continue to do so going forward as well!
