Everything that’s great must come to an end! Year 5 for @chiprepacademy national middle school team is in the books.

I am so proud of these young men right here! They have heard everything all year long but still battled through adversity and showed the world what a great group of kids from Chicago/Illinois look like. #ChiPrep

We have been together since October 2025 and now it’s Feb. 2026. This group will go down in my books as one of the best teams I have coached when all together! #Brotherhood

We finished the season 32-3 and #2 in IL regardless of class after being #1 for most of the season. We traveled to Memphis twice in one season. We took everyone best shot every weekend. I always tell parents on day one I go hard for all my boys whether I am the gym at practice/training with them, on the road with them, or showing them how they should always carry themselves! One thing for sure all these kids are the best in their class and I can’t wait to see what they do on the next level.

I want to say thank you publicly to these young men and their parents for all you have done for ME and Chi Prep Middle School Program. Always remember this is a brotherhood that you can lean on at anytime.

FYI AJ, Chad, Connor, Carson, Allen, Tre, Larry, Stan and DJ you’ll are my guys and it’s been a joy to coach you’ll this year. I am a tough but fair coach and crazy at times but I hope you’ll learned at least one thing from me. Now, be great and I am one ☎️ call away.

Love,

Coach Tony

This has been one heck of a season for my @chiprepacademy national middle school team. We are 22-1 and have taken everyone best punch in Illinois and outside of Illinois. We have not been allowed to play in several events. Teams committing then backing out on playing us. We don’t say nothing. We just keep our head up and keep working. The adversity these kids have faced this year has been like nothing I have seen in (5) years of running this program. My boys don’t care though. They just have fun and smile every time they get on the court, They continue to WIN, DEVELOP and make a name for themselves in this Class of 2030. On day one when we started training and practice (5) months ago in October 2025 I told them it would be ups and downs but more ups than downs. Finally, I always tell my kids put your horse blinders on and just HOOP. It’s really amazing to see so many special young men for sake scoring stats and personal stats for the main thing! Winning! #ChiPrep #Brotherhood

FYI… I want to thank my guys @jrhoopselite and @danielslarry23 for giving my boys and program an outlet to play meaningful games.
