A year ago I got to watch my friends run the race after an injury sidelined me. This year we run it back and get a shot at the course with the main goal of just finishing. Thankful for the oppertunity and can’t wait to run with some of the people that made doing this possible 🤝🤙

Time to run the rock! @alpine.running

Welcome to Jogging Jon. 🏃‍♂️ This page is dedicated to my passion and love for all things running in hopes of inspiring others to get active to live a better and healthier life.

My running journey began back in 2020 when the pandemic started. I lost my Father on February 24, 2020. Two weeks after his funeral I was laid off from my job, right when the world went into lockdown. The combination of those two things happening created an anger within me that was not good for my mental health or conducive to my relationship with my now wife. I knew I needed to find some sort of outlet to help me deal with the emotions I was feeling from losing my Dad and job all within weeks of each other.

I ran some in high school and young adulthood but never consistently. I always loved running when I would do it so I figured I would try to run again to help me cope with the heaviness I was feeling during that time. About a week after I lost my job I decided I would go to try and run a mile. I went to the top floor of the apartment complex parking garage and started running laps around an empty parking lot. It took me 15 minutes to run a mile that day. I continued to run regularly throughout the pandemic, stayed consistent with it, and watched my mental health transform as well as see the daily benefits running would bring into my life for my ADHD as well.

Fast forward to 2026, I am currently on a daily run streak (600+ days), 2x marathon finisher, 6x half marathoner and proud of where running has brought me. I want to share the joy and benefits running brings me and inspire others who may be struggling.

Thanks for coming along on this journey with me! 👟

2025 shot by friends
4 races - 3 finishes - 1 race cancelled 73 in due to a wild fire - 2 buckles collected - 3140 miles (and counting) 300k+ - too many laughs and smiles had with friends to count.
Thank you for everything, everyone. I recently explained what I love about running, and for me the thing that stands out most for 2025 was me & @jakesouthardvisuals 8+ hour overnight 30 mile section at Hood Hundred, I don’t know if I’ve ever felt that much friendship in a single moment, (I only met Jake this year). Thank you to everyone who’s shared miles with me or given me any support, in 2026 I look to give back more, with pacing, aid stations and love.
2026 I’ll be representing @runspeedland @blanks_sports_nutrition & @creeperssocks 🤝
Also looking to take down “Old Ephiram 200” on the inaugural year.
