This ended up being quite a special experience, working closely with wonderful people in a very relevant play in a great new city to explore! After @northwesternu days & a lifetime away, I’m grateful that the Midwest has recently kept calling me back over the last few years and created so many rich full circle moments with dear friends, old & new 💜 Thank you MCNEAL @milwrep!

A full week in @milwrep working on Milwaukee-born, fellow Brown University alum, & Pulitzer Prize winner Ayad Akhtar’s play MCNEAL with this group of conscientious, open, inclusive, thoughtful, & insanely smart artists & humans— a wonderful start to 2026 & necessary recentering balm for all that’s been occurring in the world.

And just when I thought Christmas was over… The Bald and the Beautiful with Trixie & Katya gave such a lovely shout-out to It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, the show I directed at @milwrep. I’m over the moon by how warmly this production was received and how many people it reached. What’s next?!
To see the full review, visit my website (linked above). Huge thanks to @trixiemattel, @katya_zamo, and @katyaandtrixie—and next time you’re in Milwaukee and want to see some theater, let me know!
