Thinking Future Thoughts

at Life World

"Thinking Future Thoughts" (working title) is a solo-turned-ensemble dance for five that descends into the sub-basement of our collective mind. In a world of flat images, "Future Thoughts" invites us to witness people becoming dimensional before our very eyes.

Created in collaboration with the performers:
Angel Acuña
Jack Dexter
David Guzman
Cullan Powers

Original sound composition by Ryan Gamblin
Lighting Design by Connor Sale
Scenic design support from Clara Harlow and Izzy Leung

Working with themes of rugged individualism, isolation and gay shame, we watch five “men” move through various states of suppression, desire, entanglement and surrender.

“I want to hurt them. [Louder] I want to hurt them.”

Some photos (minus some of the realllly good ones but we don’t want spoilers out there) from William Sydney’s BOYFRIEND BOYFRIEND BOYFRIEND GIRLFRIEND at @come.to.life.world Such a fun and sick show to be apart of, Id hate to say it was a good one! But… who knows what the future may hold. Quote at the end is my all time acting life quote from Phillip Seymour Hoffman relayed by Ethan Hawke, it was especially in my mind during this time.
