Fish camp I love ya so! 4 summers spent at Lakeview!

From my first time at fish camp to my last, there’s never been a time I wasn’t smiling. To the people I’ve come across and friendships I’ve made, I’m forever in debt to fish camp.

To camp Lopez, thank you for welcoming my nervous freshman self into what I now call my home away from home. Thank you for giving me a group to lean back on and being such a good introduction to an Aggies first tradition.

To camp Dartez, there’s certainly not a group of individuals I’d rather experience lakeview with for the first time ever! The friendships that were made I’ll always cherish and I’m forever grateful for yall giving me an org to be passionate about.

To Camp Byrd, continuity with yall was surely something I’ll never forget! I’m forever in debt to the friendships that were formed. Yall allowed me to grow so much and my leadership skills certainly blossomed through yall and I’m forever grateful for that.

Lastly to Camp Adams, such a sweet way to end my time at Lakeview! Being surrounded by so many amazing individuals from my DG to my Cabin I’m so grateful to end on such a high note! Thank you everyone for the friendships that were developed and time spent together this summer. I love ADAMS 4 life!!

If my time at lakeview is truly over I am beyond grateful for the experiences and memories this org has brought me.

Thank you @majorsonthedancefloor for showing me the impact counselors can make on someone.

Dear Fish Camp,

How do you say goodbye to something that changed your life?

Two summers. Two incredible camps. Hundreds of freshmen. Countless laughs, late nights, traditions, hugs, happy tears, and memories that I’ll carry with me forever.

This year, I had the privilege of returning as an experienced counselor, and it reminded me why I fell in love with this organization in the first place. Watching another group of freshmen find their place at Texas A&M while serving alongside some of the most selfless, passionate people has been one of the greatest blessings. Fish Camp has given me friendships that feel like family, confidence I didn’t know I had, and memories that I’ll be talking about long after graduation.

As I prepare to graduate this December, it’s bittersweet knowing this chapter has come to an end. Fish Camp will forever and always hold a piece of my heart. No matter where life takes me, I’ll always be grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of something so much bigger than myself.

To every freshman I had the honor of getting to know: thank you for trusting us and reminding me why this organization matters so much.

To my fellow counselors, chairs, directors, and everyone who pours their heart into Fish Camp: thank you for giving me a place to belong. Thank you for loving people so well including myself. Fish Camp, thank you for becoming home. Gig ‘em forever !
