What a privilege to be involved in this, the 75th Anniversary of Wexford Festival Opera! I am delighted to be a member of this year's Wexford Factory Artist Programme, and performing in this year's Festival where I will make my Main Stage debut in our National Opera House and also orginate a role in not one, but two World Premieres commissioned for this year's Festival ๐ŸŽญ More info โžก๏ธ ๐ŸŒŸ Factory Opera - The First Festival ๐ŸŒŸ Directed by Conor Hanratty Music - Alberto Caruso Libretto - Colm Toฬibiฬn Laura - 19th and 29th October O'Reilly Theatre, National Opera House, Wexford The First Festival reunites celebrated novelist Colm Toฬibiฬn with his regular collaborator, composer Alberto Caruso. Commissioned by Wexford Festival Opera to mark the 75th Anniversary, this operatic tribute honours the Festival Colm has loved and championed for decades. It was written specifically for the rising stars of the Wexford Factory programme. October 1951. Itโ€™s Monday morning at Wexford County Councilโ€™s Motor Taxation Office, and four local clerks arrive for work nursing freshly broken hearts. Theyโ€™ve been dumped, their dates were disasters, and all four are looking for love. Then, word arrives that a new opera festival is about to start in town. Meanwhile, four international opera singers arrive in Wexford singing arias of longing and regret. Behind their glamour, they are equally heartbroken and desperate for connection. By opening night, four glorious new romances have blossomed between the townsfolk and the stars. But in 1951 Ireland, privacy is virtually impossible to find - until each of the local clerks hatches the exact same plan: to sneak into the empty Motor Taxation Office after hours. What follows is a night of joyful chaos and soaring song, as music gives eight hopeless romantics their glorious outing in love in October 1951. ๐ŸŒŸ Community Opera - Still, life... ๐ŸŒŸ Directed by Noeline Kavanagh Music - Ailis Ni Riain Soprano Soloist - 15th, 20th, 23rd, 25th, 28th and 30th October Grainstore, Wexford Still, lifeโ€ฆ is a site-responsive, installation-opera investigates a small town's reaction to a man who decides to sit on top of a flagpole and stays there for f

OPHELIA โ€˜Thereโ€™s rosemary, thatโ€™s for remembrance. Pray you, love, remember. And there is pansies, thatโ€™s for thoughts. Wat raakt me zo in Hamlet? ๐Ÿ“– Hamlet van Shakespeare, vertaald door Frank Albers ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ Rosemary Remebrance Cake, recept van @nigellalawson #hamlet #shakespeare #bakken #koekbijboek #fortheloveofbooksandbaking

Season Update! Iโ€™m so excited to share that Iโ€™ll be joining the amazing cast of Silent Night at @theatlantaopera in November. I adore this show and this company that was such a huge part of my early career development. My sincere regrets to those of you I might have met or seen during La Boheme at Opera Omaha. I know you will have an amazing run of shows nonetheless! Much love and see you in Atlanta!!

This review means an awful lot. My aim was to recreate the sound that Judy Garland would have had accompanying her in her 1969 performances at the Talk of the Town in London and make it as authentic as possible while serving the storytelling of @peterquilter2016โ€™s play. ๐ŸŽถ Huge thanks to the amazing band on this show and our skilled music team who were integral to making this sound so good. The cherry on the cake is, of course, @annajanecasey13โ€™s marvellous singing and LIVING of these iconic songs. ๐ŸŽค Donโ€™t miss ๐—๐—จ๐——๐—ฌ: ๐—˜๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฅ๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐˜„ ๐ŸŒˆ currently playing at @gaiety_theatre until 19th Sept, the coming to @gohbelfast 23-26 Sept. โœจDirected by @conorhanratty โœจProduced by @patmoylanproductions & @bredacashe โœจStarring @annajanecasey13 as Judy Garland, with @willhehim , #DarraghShannon & @actorwilliammorgan โœจCostume Design: @valentina_gambardella_design โœจLighting Design: Viko Nikci โœจSet Design: Ciaran Bagnall โœจMusical Director/Arranger: Niall Kinsella โœจProduction Photography: @soundofphotography
