So I’ve got some very belated news:

May was pretty cool. Among many neat things, I turned 34 and was promoted to Assistant General Manager of The Living Room & Plaza at @thestandardhighline. I’m beyond fortunate to have kind, patient, smart, and giving friends, family, teammates, and mentors to whom I owe immense gratitude for where I’m at in life these days.

We’re currently rocking our cute-as-hell Soda Shop summer concept. If you’re around Chelsea for Pride, come take a pitstop to say hey! We’ll have terrific live DJs, a super sweet staff, refreshing drinks, and yummy eats!

Day 3 of 12 Days of @2026debuts : Three People Who've Supported Your Writing

I'm using art of my POV characters (artist: korraiko), but don't be fooled: they did not support this process. I would like to thank someone else on behalf of each of them.

1) At the height of the pandemic, I hadn't written a word in months and felt like my life was stagnating. In the middle of an ER shift from hell, I got a DM from @conorsaidwhat We didn't know each other, but he'd read one of my books as an intern and wanted me to know he enjoyed it and hoped I kept writing. It was the most detailed positive feedback I'd ever gotten from a stranger, and suddenly that long-shelved book didn't feel like a waste anymore. It helped me pull myself out of that dark hole and finish the next book, which got me my first agent in 2022.

2) @bookishwinterwitch is a ballet dancer, and understands what it's like to try to break into a hyper-competitive artistic field--the ambition and dedication it requires of you, the heartbreak, the sheer delusional arrogance you have to embrace to look at the impossible odds, say "rip but I'm different" and keep trying anyway.

3) @gracelahrs is a STEM-brained engineer who enjoys backpacking and being around dogs. We lived together in the shittiest imaginable apartment for three of the messiest years of our lives. On paper we have little in common, but there is NO ONE who gets me more, or who has supported me through more of my publishing-induced crash outs.

Rachel and Grace were also both present for my "lightbulb moment" in 2014, sitting at a kitchen table in Boulder, when I said out loud "I want to write stories that make me feel things like (book we were discussing)."

I appreciate all three of you more than I can say.
