anyways! side note, i’m gonna start going by the name Rune primarily- i didn’t want to change it again because i was scared of going through that process and facing judgment for it, but i’m trying not to worry about stuff like that as much this year :) i chose Kacey initially because it was closer to my given name and i felt would bring me less judgement in my old high school, but i’ve been using the name Rune with closer friends for (ironically) just as long as Kacey and have always wanted to change it haha

i’ll still respond to either really, just know it would make me feel more comfortable and supported to hear people at least trying to use it. thanks!

First ever Dayton: ✅️

Thank you ID for being the group I was with to experience my first Dayton. I truly wasn't expecting to make it through this season, yet here I am. Little freshman year Goda wouldn't ever be able to imagine that senior year Goda made it to Dayton.
Thank you Tim and Beth for being amazing instructors all season. I can do a spagasp to pad now! :)
Thank you Sena, Ashton, and Juliette for being an amazing section all season. Sena, next year you should like, age back in and stop being old.
Thank you to everyone in the ensemble for being great people to march with and interact with.

As for the future, that's always TBD. I've put so much of my energy into this activity, specifically this season, and I left it all of it out there. I don't know where I'll go from here or if I'll even continue marching, but it was a pleasure to be a part of this season with ID. I hope I'll see y'all at some point again, whether it be this summer or even the winter!

these few months with Imperial Dynasty have been unforgettable. this was more than just a season; it was about the people, the late-night rehearsals, the laughs, and the moments we pushed through together. my first year of indoor has been a journey filled with growth, challenges, and memories that I’ll hold close forever. i’ve learned so much about myself and what it means to work hard for something you love and i’m so proud of everything we accomplished together, and i’ll always be grateful for the love, support, and laughter we shared. till next season, i love you all!!

Imperial Dynasty, I cannot in any way shape nor form fully put everything this season has done for me into words. Each and every one of you played a part in a new level of growth I never saw myself achieving, you believed in me just as I believed in you, and together we made history. This season will go down in the books as a core part of my life, the endless laughs, the seemingly limitless love and care, the hard work, the growth, the blood, the sweat, the tears, will forever remain in my heart. My growth in the future is for you all, and I’m excited to see where all of you go and what all of you do. No matter what that is, remember you’ve got a whole lot of people rooting for you behind the scenes. Thank you for putting the work in to make this season something special.

To the front and our techs, I am eternally grateful. You know what made this year special, and only you ever will. I appreciate you endlessly and love you all like family. You all are my biggest inspirations in my music career, and will forever be an integral part of this journey. {The Third Law}

Man…. holy shit. ID has been the most incredible organization I’ve ever marched under. From totaling my car to eating those post-run Dayton oranges, it has been a mix of the highest of highs and the lowest of lows.

To all the staff and members who never stopped supporting me, checking up on me through all the doctors appointments, thank you. I love my ID family so so much. I’ve made friendships I’ll cherish forever.

I’ve somehow never felt so accomplished, yet somehow like I’ve taken a million steps backwards. I’ve grown more in the past six months than I maybe ever have. Pushing myself beyond anything I ever thought I was capable. I learned what real determination is. I’ve learned what it means to lose a version of yourself you thought you’d be. My passion for this activity has unfolded into something I never thought possible. If I can do what I did this season with what arm, I can only imagine what I can do when I’m all healed.
