The MVS’ers had a fun, rejuvenating time in Salt Lake City this week on their national MVS retreat! Here are their highlights from the trip:

Zing: “I appreciated the chance to reorient myself and hear everyone’s stories and commonalities. It was a good reminder that we’re not the only ones going through this experience.”
Hannah: “I really enjoyed connecting with the other MVS’ers and hearing about the similarities and differences between the different units. Also seeing the Great Salt Lake was awesome.”
Schyler: “For me it’s a tie between playing games together in the evenings and seeing East High, the high school where High School Musical was filmed.”
Patrick: “The highlight of the trip for me was getting to visit the Leonardo Museum (minus the AI display!)

Thanks to @missionnetwork for making this retreat happen!

A bit delayed, but ACC Ambassadors and @sustainabilityalumninetwork folks gathered in Chicago back in March for a retreat focused on food justice. Attendees participated in a food justice summit organized by @chifoodpolicy , volunteered at gardens and creative reuse shops in the Chicago area, and had a multitude of conversations surrounding climate work, addressing burnout in justice work.

These gatherings are always a great source of meaning and motivation for continuing climate work, and this one was no exception! We look forward to our next gathering later this year.
