the forest is liminal space. so is the dancefloor.

September. The light does something different - golden, shortened, a little melancholy. Baba Yaga lives at the edge of the forest. She doesn’t explain herself. She tests you, sometimes helps, sometimes doesn’t and never apologises for the ambiguity. She’s not good or evil. She’s something older than that binary.

I’m playing @baba.yaga.club this month - a Slavic diaspora night - and it means something. I was adopted. My Polish identity is a thing I hold at a distance: a language I don’t speak, a mythology that’s mine but that I’ve had to approach from the outside in. Playing for this crowd feels like arriving somewhere I was always supposed to be, through a door I didn’t know was mine.

Queer identity works like that sometimes. You build your lineage sideways. You come to your mythology late, or in fragments. Baba Yaga doesn’t give you the answer. She puts you at the threshold and makes you decide if you’re going in.

All the more reason to gather in rooms where your mythology is recognised.

The essay drops this month too. More soon.

@orb.plus studio is my little reset button.
My space for nails & hair - where I get to be held, fussed over and put back together on purpose.

Sometimes it’s literally simultaneous: hands getting shaped, hair getting loved and a few hours where people are working on my „better outside“. Special thanks to @buntebussis & @constvncce and surely @tga_official
Trans-femme glow effect in real time - not just beauty … alignment.

My essay on queer house is out now in Hinterhaus magazine!

Queer house isn’t just music - it’s a survival tool, a bridge between isolation and community and a declaration of queer love.

Swipe through for some moments and words from the piece.
