UNLESS THE PEOPLE LIVE HERE at Deutsche Oper Berlin @deutscheoperberlin 💛 Honestly, words simply cannot describe how special this weekend was for me. My concert debut on the big stage of Deutsche Oper Berlin in Anri Sala’s unique arrangement of the love duet “Vogliatemi bene” from Madama Butterfly was a truly magical experience and such an exciting surprise to share with the audience! ❤️ It was also a huge joy to sing a few arias as part of the Pop-Up Concert series with dear Leonard Martynek @leo_martynek! But above all, what a joy it was to celebrate the opening of the season all together! It was a true celebration of art, love, music, emotions, and people✨ A heartfelt thank you to Giovanni Conti @conticonductor , Anna Handler @annahandler.music, my wonderful Butterfly colleagues, my parents, Landon Wilson @l_andonwilson and the whole Deutsche Oper team for making these days so special. Grateful to be part of it all, especially here, at a theatre so close to my heart ❤️ Happy new 26/27 season to everyone 🥂 #operasinger#deutscheoperberlin#anrisala#puccini#soprano

Today one was one of those days that I will never forget, my concert debut with @deutscheoperberlin 😍 I cannot be any more grateful to Deutsche Oper Berlin for inviting me to be part of their Season Opening Festival (Eröffnungsfest). Today I had the privilege of singing two arias in today's Pop-up Concert, as well as in the Season Opening Concert as Flutterbye 1 in Anri Sala's '5 Flutterbyes'. A gorgeous arrangement of Puccini's 'Vogliatemi Bene' with 5 Madame Butterflies and 2 Pinkertons in which our singing overlaps and succeeds one another, while fluttering hand fans with lights to give the impression of butterflies dancing across the theatre walls. Such a beautiful concept and one that I am proud to have been part of 🦋❤️ A very special thank you to our amazing conductor Maestro Giovanni Conti, pianist Adam Rogala, the Deutsche Oper Berlin Orchestra, my fellow Butterflies, handsome Pinkertons, colleagues behind the scenes and of course The Opera Foundation for young Australians, without whom none of today would have been possible. Lastly, an extra special thank you to Amelia Wawrzon I was surprised to find in Berlin today of all days. She not only came to one performance but both and took all of these gorgeous photos. Gotta love friends ❤️ #deutscheoperberlin #concertdebut #seasonopening #operasingersofinstagram #sopranosofinstagram

Tonight! Making a Maestro continues on Sky Arts. 🔁 A recap: On day 1 of the competition, 20 conductors stepped onto the podium to conduct the @londonsymphonyorchestra. At the end of the day, the jury chose 10 to continue to day 2's semi-final.
