CONTINUE Magazine is a defiant, new printed videogames magazine out of Australia, showcasing culture, creativity and community.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I've always liked magazines.

Growing up, I had a Total Girl subscription and in high school, I collected Girlfriend magazines. Back in the Philippines, I collected the Winx Club comics and read Disney Princess Magazines (heck, I was in a wedding magazine once).

Recently, I supported the @continuemagazine Kickstarter and it has arrived... days after PAX Aus (oml). Its very high quality and I look forward to issue 2. Giving me back that nostalgia of my old favourite past time.

In an era of where there's calls for more physical media, as well as layoffs in the media, glad to see that there's a medium for gaming journos to continue their passion.

It was so great to work on the editorial design for issue one of @continuemagazine

@serrels and @sweaterjack put together an incredible magazine featuring loads of amazing artists and talented writers.

In a world full of AI, it was a joy to work on something where people came together to create and support talent.

If you like games, you should grab yourself a copy. Available at ACMI (and their online store).

Growing up, I always loved my PlayStation and PC Gamer magazines (especially when they came with a demo disc), so I’m really happy to see print media making a comeback in 2026.

Truly honoured to have my article about my beginnings in the games industry featured in the debut issue of CONTINUE? Magazine. @continuemagazine

I hope @upsurgestudios upcoming title will ‘be the game you push your brother out of a window for!’ #gamedev #upsurgestudios #games #ただのシビック #mugen

Hanging up the Penguin Colony jacket as we wrap up MIGW 2026. Had a great time attending High Score, presenting at @freeplayfest Parallels, and boothing with @origamedigital at @paxaus . Time to hibernate until next year 😴

While it might be Game Over for @paxaus 2026, we will continue in 2027.
And the journey is just beginning for another gaming-related endeavour: @continuemagazine which will also be reaching a new level next year.

Honestly, after the amazing weekend we just had and the joy that this new magazine has been to read and hold in my hands, I feel like there is hope.
Not just for the gaming community and industry, but for the journalism side of gaming and print media in general.

There is a craving for simpler times. When articles were not inundated with ads on a digital screen.
When what we read did not determine the next thing that was thrown at us by an algorithm.
To have something tangible to hold and say 'This is mine.'

Technology is a wonderful thing and I use it daily, but when is enough enough?
Not only are the articles in @continuemagazine lovely to read, the artwork in it is just as mesmerising and oh so beautiful.

Well done!

Probably my favourite PAX / MIGW ever 🥳 so many wonderful moments crammed into an always too brief week.

💡 Inspiring talks with Games for Change
🐠 Adventures at the Sealife Aquarium
📚 Brilliant book launches with @continuemagazine , bringing gaming print media back with a force
🎮 innovative indie games at the PAX Rising area, and the tabletop Collaboratory with @tgda.org.au , and DevCon
😊 Friends old and new, hanging out, joining in for games and wacky activities
🌱 Having the opportunity to discuss sustainability in creative industries with the amazing @pixieleex and @nix_cosplay
🐝 All the Buck Bumble adventures, and the "omg is that buck bumble??" from so many people (I think I never need to make another cosplay ever again)
🙌 Just the vibes at PAX - always such a positive, fun, welcoming community

The list goes on... (and I'll maybe do a blog post later to go into more detail...)

We discussed this during our panel on sustainability, but I'll reiterate here (and I'll be brief). Fostering collaborative and cohesive communities is how we'll save the world. Sharing ideas, resources, the highs and the lows. Providing and supporting opportunities for those around you is crucial, and MIGW / PAX has one of the strongest communities I've ever had the pleasure of being around. Who knew building a community around gaming, around play, one of the original human joys for the past million something years, would work so well 🥳

So... in closing this random instagram post. Keep playing, keep sharing moments of joy and frustration through gaming. And thanks #paxaus2026 for being another epic adventure.

Until next year!! 🤩
