Still haven’t visited the ghost hotel in @vrijbroekpark? 👻 This summer, contemporary art has moved into the ruins. 🎨 For @contour.series, 10 artists explored the interaction between the ruins and the surrounding nature. 🌿

You can discover the result until 30 August. Daily from 10am to 6pm, and completely free to visit.

What happens when ten artists take over an abandoned hotel ruin? 🏬

For @Contour.Series #3: 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙁𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙧. 𝙏𝙪𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙣 𝙢𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙣 𝙚𝙣 𝙢𝙤𝙨 @kunstencentrumnona invites ten Belgium-based artists to work with one of Mechelen’s most intriguing hidden places: the Hotel Ruin in @Vrijbroekpark. Here, art enters into dialogue with moss-covered walls, graffiti, birds, bats and fifty years of slow transformation.

A summer exhibition for art lovers, walkers, families, birdwatchers and curious passers-by.
Tip: Sign up for a guided tour with curator @andrea.cinel on July 5 and August 30 at 15:00 and dive deeper into the moss-covered world of 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙁𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙧.

📍 Until August 30 at Vrijbroekpark Mechelen
With @sienjpcusters, @erienwithouck, @luca_vanello, @katosix and many more

// posters featuring the moon, printed with UV-sensitive ink, are hung throughout the Hotelruïne. as sunlight moves through the space over the course of the day, the images appear and disappear > the moon becomes visible when there is sufficient sunlight. otherwise, the posters show either a yellow, sun-like sphere or a blank white surface. //

This was our June! 📸
We crisscrossed the country, from Brussels to Genk, from Antwerp and Mechelen deep into the Scheldt Valley — with even a detour to Utrecht.

There were new exhibits, festival kick-offs, sunny outings, training workshops, concerts, open air performances and of course the goodbye of our lovely Lotte ☀️

To a month well spent!
