Thank you @mpeguild for these nominations! It’s an absolute honour to be on a list with these legends. Artists/teams - collaborating with you… is what it is for me. So, thank you to anyone that i’ve worked with in what was arguably the most stretching year of my life (no one told me having a second baby in this game was gonna be so intense haha) but praise God, WE MADE IT THROUGH ALIVE….

To 14 year old me,
Hi Rob, it’s me…. Listen. I get you feel a little strange, you don’t quite fit in with all them, but thats ok! School & being young is sorta weird for most people - just be cool, you’ll be out soon. Hey, over the next little while things are gonna get real weird… You’ll be in bands, travel the world, do everything / see everything you’re dreaming of. For a while this will be AMAZING but in the process… you’ll lose your faith, lose most your friends and totally forget who you are! It’ll feel different than you thought it would and this will break your heart. Eventually you’ll crash, struggle to have conversations or even leave the house and eventually quit music. (I know hard to believe right) Rob, pay attention…. After you hit the bottom - you’ll look up, find your faith and start to dream again. You’ll fall in love with serving people and realise what was missing. This is your purpose, and was the point all along. You will learn to put your ego aside and use any God given gifts to lift up others. Trust me - then and only then will it feel correct and finally make sense! I can’t wait for you to see what’s on the other side of all this chaos….
Turn it up, make it loud and never try fit in!

Appreciate anyone thats been on this journey with me. So thankful for all the opportunities you have given me. These award ceremonies sure make me squirm, but it does feel good to get some solid (and pointy) recognition. I feel proud of all the hours spent toiling away in the abstract, of overcoming all the layers of self doubt, knots of disillusionment and brain fog and allowing some cool and brilliance to shine through, despite myself.
At worst I can cosplay a mine craft unicorn with it.

I know we song makers say this a lot but this song is a really special one and will go down as one of my all-time favourite sessions. The song is a beautiful blend of darkness and hope, it’s real and you feel it, it’s intoxicating and it gets me every time. Mia owns it and channels it. I love that you can hear the tones of my studio, and it showcases my guitar work. But importantly, it signifies the announcement of a new songwriting and production team with my homie @rob_amoruso - under the moniker CONVOY.
We have such mad fun in the studio, he plays drums and I play guitar and bass; he does crazy pop production and I do magic sounds and lyric sketches and vice versa. We have such a mad vibe we decided to name it and make it a thing. Listen out for more CONVOY hype to come.
