Architects by Campfire | Day 3 - wrapping up an amazing weekend with a very special visit to #garangulagallery in #hardennsw . Stunning building designed by @fenderkatsalidis, amazing landscape, and a spectacular private collection of aboriginal art. With the gallery only open to the public once or twice a year, this felt like an incredibly special experience for us all! What a finale to an amazing weekend or architecture and connection. Huge thank you to @architecturensw for this amazing weekend… what a delight for regional architects to be able to connect in this way! #regionalarchitects #architecturensw #architecture #architectsontour #feelinginspired #architectsbycampfire

Architects by Campfire
Friday, 31 - Sunday 2 April 2023
Jugiong Showground Memorial Park

Each site has a story, each client has a story, each architect has a story and our country is embedded with a rich tapestry of ancient stories. As Regional Architects, we are often in the fortunate position to work in some amazing locations, with some amazing people. With that privilege, comes the responsibility of respecting place, people, landscape and culture. Architecture is, in essence, a form of storytelling. Architects by Campfire is an event inspired by the idea of sitting around a campfire and telling stories.

We hope to share experiences of living and working on the land, and creating responsive and sensitive architecture in regional NSW.

Speakers include:

@studiotakt
@cooee_architecture
@charliearnott1
@clintonmurray

Tickets through:
@architecturensw
Organised by the NSW AIA Regional Committee

Standing on the site of Sarah’s future home looking SE to the Snowy Mountains.

Clever little puppy, Tilla the Hun-nee, lying in the shade between our matching pink Merry People boots.

Can’t wait to do our Sarah-Jenny, archi-science magic on the plans for this future, fabulous, family home.

Magical location 💕🐶

🌼 2022 🌼

At the end of this whopping year, I have a bit on my mind:

🌼 First, a massive thank you to all the beautiful, loved-up couples who let me be their lawful wedding wingwoman this year. Every one of the weddings I have performed has left me with my cup running over. Every story, every intertwined lifeline, every moment of marrying has been an honour to witness. Each one of you has invested time and energy into your ceremony so that it isn't just the thing you endure in order to earn the party. You all put the ceremony high on your list of wedding-day priorities which, for a celebrant, is an incredible thing.

🌼 To the vendors (photographers, other celebrants musicians and venues) who have been generous in your welcoming me to this part of the world, who have become dear friends and who have volunteered time to help build me up and who sent me enquiries, recommendations and care: THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU. My business would not have rebuilt quite so beautifully without your love and help.

🌼 To the other celebrants around Australia who have either continued to love me (looking at you @wed_by_anna) and who have offered countless helpful tips, opinions and words of wisdom: you've saved me at least a hundred times. Thank you.

🌼 More personally, to the dozens of friendly locals who have warmly welcomed me and my family into the fold, enveloping us in the true warmth of country hospitality: you have truly made us feel like this is our belonging place. We ❤ the Upper Murray.

Now to 2023 - another lap, many more beautiful love stories to tell and a business to keep on building.

Big love to all, and to all a happy 2023
