Now that I’m well past the halfway point in my life, I’ve been using hoarded-away notebooks for work instead of buying new ones. Getting out this one has made me remember my time at Weekly Reader, genuinely the best place I’ve ever worked even though I was not there long. The people, the beautiful campus, the content (I miss imagining possible careers with Career World!), the Scrabble tournament, the champagne toast on my first day 🤣…it was the best! Miss you all! (Apologies if I missed tagging you!) 🥰

A huge congrats and thanks to my “Sista from another Kitchen” 😆 @cookingbylaura You’ve helped us so much over the years and your dinners (and desserts!) are second-to-none! Thank you so much for the wonderful, delectable, three course meal! The flavors were a mix of familiar comfort foods but every dish had a little… Je ne sais quoi… flavor combinations we’d never tried that were really exciting. Another successful pop up for @krupagrocery and so much more relaxing to be on the other side of the kitchen this time 😅 ✌️ • 🫶 • 😋 • 🇨🇲

The reupholstering of a rocker seat. Forgot to take a photo of the post-horsehair step: leftover cotton batting and foam. I love it when a client is cool with using scraps. How can we use what we already have? A daily question. Thank you, Laura!
