We’re sad to announce the passing of one of our fellow NGHBRHD runners, DJ! @yeahthatsdj 🙏🏾

Thank you for the miles we shared. Thank you for always showing up and bringing uplifting energy! Thank you for assisting the other men in assuring the women and children are on the inside on Tuesdays! Thank you for keeping your word to yourself and not only running your first race half but doing it under two hrs! Thank you for calling us out at the end of Tuesdays and challenging us to race because you knew we had more in the tank.

Prayers to the family and your baby girl.
We’re going to miss you man 🫂

It has always been more than running for me and that’s the reason I run. I can’t count the number of amazing people I’ve met over the last 5 years, but every single person helped pave the road to walking 26.2 miles down😮‍💨If you’re ever lucky enough to find your people, hold onto them, pour into them & if they truly are your people, they will pour back into you tenfold🙂‍↕️💜

A testament

The village 🫂 - the reason that I believe that I can FLY

🏠 The Greatest Mile. 🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾took over Manifest in D.C. during Howard Homecoming Week. — THE GREATEST stars Jaalen Best as Muhammad Ali, arriving November 4 on Prime. 🏠🥇

Workouts, a community mile, and DJ Wildchild and Kyle on the Mic kept the energy up, with @jaalenbest, @kaiparham_ , and @aminjoseph from The Greatest in the building. The evening drew its theme from Muhammad Ali’s legacy of confidence, discipline, and purpose. We also presented The Key to the House to Anthony “Cool Ant” Williams. 🎬

Thank you to our partners, @primevideo, @1867runclub, @sweatdc, @teamafterone, @techwellnesssociety, @tndm.app and @goodbaudi_ for bringing the community.

☕️ Cup of Joe | THE RESISTANCE IS REAL

The closer you get to becoming your higher self, the more you’ll have to recognize what’s trying to pull you back into your old one.

Not every distraction deserves your attention. Not every battle deserves your energy. And not every obstacle is a sign that you’re headed in the wrong direction.

Sometimes the resistance shows up right when you’re beginning to rise.

Don’t allow temporary circumstances to derail you from your God-given purpose.

Stay grounded. Stay prayed up. Stay intentional.

Special appreciation to Cool Ant (@cool_ant ), founder of Neighborhood Runners (@neighborhood_runners ), for sharing his perspective and allowing us to build on this powerful conversation about growth, purpose, and becoming.

Don’t let the resistance make you forget who you’re becoming. 🙏🏾

You know what to do…

☕️ SIP SLOW. LIVE INTENTIONAL.
