owen kruger!!! the best boyfriend ever!!!! you have taught me so much these past 5 years, like how it feels to be unconditionally loved and how to openly communicate. you motivate me to be a better person every day and it reminds me of how lucky i am to have you in my life. i love the way you smile when we look at each other across a room and i love how you find a way to spark a conversation with anyone. sometimes i look at you and i just can’t believe i get to know and love you this closely. being apart is the greatest reminder of how much your presence means to me. i am so excited to grow old with you and make new memories everyday! i love you and i will love you until i die and if there’s life after that i’ll love you even then. happy five years :)🩷

Going into my freshman year, I signed up for an elective class called Intro to Broadcasting without thinking much about it. That changed during second semester, when my teacher, Mr. Schenkel, introduced our class to cameras and video editing. I had experimented with editing in Adobe Premiere Pro during COVID, but this time it felt different, it felt like something I truly connected with and wanted to know more about. That same year, I won an award at our media program’s banquet for my video editing skills as an intro student. Four years later, I won that same award again as an advanced student. I never could have imagined myself winning regional and state awards for videography, photography, animation, and graphic design. I never thought I would be reporting school news, commentating performing arts events to thousands of viewers, filming sports from the sidelines right next to the players, or even having my work be displayed in museums. Through Homestead’s Media program, I found more than just creative opportunities, I found friendships, life long memories, and a part of myself I never knew could exist. The experiences, memories, and people I met through this program have shaped my high school career in ways I will always be grateful for. Thank you to Mr. Schenkel, Mr. Dunn, my friends, and my family for always believing in me and supporting me along the way. I truly would not be where I am today without all of you, and I am so blessed for that. I can’t wait to see what the next chapter at Indiana University Bloomington has in store for me!!

1st year of college DONEEE!! 😝 (1/2)

i walked into ball state truly not knowing what was gonna happen and if i would enjoy myself and holy shit, i had the most eventful and amazing first year that i wouldn’t trade for anything! if it wasn’t for me meeting my absolute best friend in the whole entire world @abbeyleahturg , joining the best dance group of all time @obodanceclub , and having the best roommate of all freaking time @shanefeh i don’t know how my first year would’ve been but they changed everything for me. i want to thank everyone that i met this year for letting me just be me and feel like i belong. i love u all so soo much!! i will be making a part 2 cause i have SO MANY photos to post from this year so don’t get mad if u aren’t in this post because TRUST you will be in part 2! :))
