Just a taste of the full day of Integrating Vision and Decision Making into Firearms Training course today at TFI Academy. Great group of shooters that all went away better shooters and an understanding that we need to train more with visual stimulus with no pre-defined drill instructions. If you see the shoot stimulus (lethal threat) apply lethal force. When it disappears (change in behavior) stop shooting. All while keeping your vision and awareness wide to see other subjects AND maintaining the marksmanship standards......not asking much...lol

Masterpiece Arms 2026 Area 6 Championship 9/12/26 @ CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park

Coming into Day 2. My vibes were much higher. Worked a half day and then started shooting with the buddies. I wanted to shoot consistent and really minimize mistakes. Aside from my very last stage, I proceeded to do so. (Which I’m totally blaming Caleb for cursing me since he was my final cameraman 😂😂😂)

Regardless, it was a fantastic match put forth by @whereareallthealphas & @jim.palmer35951, alongside all the staff from the RMs, Quartermaster, CROs, ROs and random Volunteers.

Everything about this years Area 6 was a noticeable step above the previous years. From match pacing, camaraderie, and the lucrative prize table.

Billy shared a heartfelt speech that i will definitely finding myself learning from (also if someone has a copy can i get that sent to me lol). He showed true values of a leader, as someone who leads by humility and example and not ego. Along with placing the proper pieces of leadership where they needed to be and relying on their expertise and also continuing to learn himself. It is something i can find extremely beneficial for my own private life along with the “sport” itself.

All in all. Great match. Hurdles overcome. Vibes high. A shadow 2 has not fixed me 😀

Masterpiece Arms 2026 Area 6 Championship 9/11/26 @ CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park.

Day One of A6 started with me being in the hole by about 50 points & 10~ seconds of raw time due to mental errors. Lots of learning for me on this match about mental stress management and leadership values.

Turns out, working while at a match along with helping to facilitate a major match can do a lot of things to the body and mind that can hinder performance.

Overall I was still happy with how I shot day one but I definitely wasn’t satisfied.

The best part of the match though, was the ability to see my friends I’ve made through the last couple years and watching them succeed, and also, seeing my home town buddies come out and get to spend some needed quality time.

Arkansas Section is a wrap! Very thankful the Lord gives me the strength and energy to participate in this sport. Also thankful for the friends I’ve made along the way to help me get to where I’m at today.

Placed 38/130 overall and 10/47 in CO. Not my best performance by any means but I’ve learned a ton and had a great time. I did pull off a stage win in CO. Shoutout to all the homies that took home a trophy.

Thank you to my sponsors @censoredtactical and @slip_2000

Arkansas sectional this weekend. Placed 2nd in CO and 5th overall. Not my best shooting, but glad I can still be a top contender even on an off day. Didn’t hurt that our squad was full of awesome dudes. 10/10

Had an awesome weekend with the boys at Arkansas Section Championship. I was able to snag 1st place PCC B class, and my good friends from all over Arkansas and Memphis were all able to bring home trophies as well. Couldn’t have asked for better people to surround myself with in this sport. Maybe one day their talent will rub off on me.

When you’re shooting PCC why not have some fun with it. Shot the match entirely with a viz lazer on the KP9. Had more fun than I should have and had a blast. #USPSA #kp9

Such an action packed weekend. Wedding on Friday, 3 1/2 hour drive to the hills of Alabama to shoot an NVG match, then a 5 1/2 hour drive back home to Memphis just to grab a little sleep to go shoot the local USPSA. It’s a wonder I showed up at all. Thanks August for the smelling salts
