Seven years of TuckShop have raced by. Thank you to everyone who’s been involved on and off the stage, to friends supporting, our audiences, people working their butts off. I am immensely proud of what we’ve achieved, and there’s more to come for sure.

We’re a tiny company and to be able to create work and do what we love isn’t always easy. We don’t have big pools of money, and we have to fight to stay afloat… but we love creating this nonsense!

Stay tuned… later today we’ll announce the dates for The Crown’s London return, and soon tickets for the @galsaloudofficial London show will go on sale… and we have a couple more projects in the pipeline coming out soon too! It’s all exciting… and we couldn’t do it without you!!

Don’t forget to support independent creators and producers… buy tickets, share posts, help the “little guys” out where you can! We do this because we love it, not for the money (seriously… !) and we want to keep making things happen :)

The world is bleak… so let’s spread a little joy!

(Ps can’t tag everyone so just know I love you)

2024 part 1
This year has been so full of experiences, if I’ve not been working or sleeping I’ve been doing something.
The year started off with me and the rest of the GD’s having to defend the fact that @dannyjonesofficial was a fish, I went to many @officiallyntfc matches, ate a lot of Easter eggs (that’s normal though), moved to a different area of London, with the most awesome housemates, and originally planned to go to America for @hanson once this year… you will see in part 2 how many times I ended up going.
Met and made friends with some of the best people, went to a place where I felt like I could be me ☺️
The song is my most played song this year “I Can’t Stop” by @andrewlawrence

Well 2024 has been unexpectedly beautiful, and here are some of my favourite moments that I captured this year.
I’ve see artists that I have seen before and will always see again, because they have always been a part of me, and I’ve also seen artists I’ve never seen before, but are now a part of my being, and I will see again and again.
Let’s see what 2025 brings.
Big thanks to my amazing gig buddies and the artists and venues that have made my year what it has been.

#Top9 #Top92024 (Music Edition)

In 2024, we've been lucky enough to attend some special one-off gigs and have met some of our favourite bands (travelling to Birmingham no less than 3 times to do so). Most of those moments have made it to the Top 9 grid and others (like the Eras Tour or the Razorlight HMV signing a couple of months ago) probably would have made an appearance if I had remembered to tag this sub-account as a collaborator on my main account posts.

One of the highlights of the year was that memorable double-header weekend at the London Palladium in April, when we went up on the Saturday to see Nerina Pallot's triumphant Fires performance, came back to Cardiff for a few hours sleep, then returned to London on the Sunday to see the 10th anniversary of Cool Rider (based on my favourite film, Grease 2) featuring none other than Maxwell Caulfield.

It has also been heavy on the Shed Seven this year, starting with the HMV signings for A Matter Of Time back in January and ending with the 30th anniversary tour last month, with the Liquid Gold signings and Change Giver tour in between. The latter was a last minute decision and we sold our Brixton Academy 30th anniversary tickets to justify it, but it was well worth the trip to Coventry for such a special, intimate night.

Gigs have taken us back to Manchester a few times during 2024, most notably for Chris Moyles' '90s Hangover at the start of the year (where we had the pleasure of meeting Bez) and The Jacksons in the summer, which was sadly one of Tito's final gigs before he passed away.

2025 is looking quieter for us gig-wise at the moment, with nothing booked in apart from Ellie Taylor's stand-up tour. We've made up for a lot of lost time over the past couple of years and feel like we've ticked off some of our major bucket list acts, but tickets are getting more expensive and we've noticed a change in atmosphere at certain gigs (especially since those riots over the summer), with a level of drunken rowdiness that lessens the enjoyment and creates an unsafe environment. There is no point doing things for the sake of it, so we're taking a little break until something takes our fancy.

⭐️ REVIEW OF THE YEAR 2024 ⭐️

🎭 Concert Show of the Year 🎭

This is a new category for 2024 and features a mixture of staged concert versions of musicals and tribute shows or shows which feature mainly music so are like a concert in themselves.

I’ve added this category this year because it gives productions a chance to get a mention that I may find difficult to add into any other category.

For touring productions the theatre mentioned is the theatre where I saw the show.

So here we go, my Top 5 Concert Shows of 2024 are:

1) COOL RIDER
2) OKLAHOMA! IN CONCERT
3) THE BILLY JOEL SONGBOOK
4) THAT’LL BE THE DAY: SO THIS IS CHRISTMAS
5) WALK RIGHT BACK

How many of these productions did you see this year? Do you agree with my choices?

A belated congrats to @selenabarron, who opened ‘Cool Rider’ the unofficial Grease sequel a few weeks ago!

Selena Barron is a @birdcollegeuk trained actor who recently starred as Rizzo in the @royalcaribbean’s production of Grease. She is repped by @michelleblairmanagement.
