The gifts were so lovely but the love behind them is even more precious to me 🥹💗 Being loved and appreciated by my little dancers is a feeling I’ll always treasure. They are not just my students they are my stars who make my teaching journey so special 💃❤️

And a biggest part of this beautiful journey goes to our sir and Cool Steps Dance Studio 💜Thank you sir for creating a place where we get to share our love for dance, grow together and build such beautiful connections. Forever grateful to be a part of this dance family 🫶🏻✨
The gifts may fade with time but the love and memories will always stay in my heart 🥺🦋❤️‍🩹 @coolstepsdancestudio @ramodmalaka

Happy Teacher’s Day to every teacher who has ever taught me even one step, one lesson, one correction, or even something as small as 0.1%. 🤍

This video is a little reminder of how grateful I am for my journey. I’ve had the opportunity to learn from, dance in front of, and even be selected by so many international dancers and teachers who came to Sri Lanka. The confidence, fearlessness, strength, muscle memory and everything I carry as a dancer today didn’t happen by accident. So much of it comes from my Sir … from every opportunity, every push, every correction and every chance he gave me to grow. Some opportunities can’t simply be bought.
Having a teacher who creates them for you is something I’ll always be grateful for🙏

And what I loved most about this moment was seeing dancers even people I didn’t know cheering and clapping for me. THAT is what dance should be. No jealousy. No comparison. Just support. If someone is shining, clap for them. If you want what they have, work for it with a pure heart. Someone else’s success will never take yours away.

Almost 7 years of being a teacher myself, I’ve learned one thing: no matter how much we teach, we will always be students too💜

Thank you Sir @ramodmalaka ❤️, for every opportunity that helped me become the dancer I am today. And Happy Teacher’s Day to everyone who has been a part of my journey. 🫶🏻✨

Thank you So Much @alexander_noel_janam Sir For This Opportunity 💜🙏🥺

✨ Came up with this literally in 5 minutes! ✨

Shayantha and I tried this during a brief 5 minute break during Lasanda's contemporary dance workshop a few weeks ago. 💃🏽🕺🏽✨

Videographed brilliantly by Lasanda himself. 🎥👏🏽 Left the audio raw to retain the organic enthusiasm and joy we shared. ❤️✨ Kandyan and Bharata Natyam 💃

Sometimes the most beautiful dance moments are the ones that simply happen. ✨
