Wow 3rd and final year of @projectgoldrunning 3 weeks full of fun and memories. I’m so extremely blessed to have had the opportunity to attend this amazing camp for the past three years of Highschool. I’ve learned more about cross country and running than I ever thought possible. From D1 athletes to professional runners and coaches. This camp has helped me develop not only as a runner but as a person. It helped me to get out of my comfort zone and allowed me to meet so many lifelong friends. I seriously wouldn’t trade this experience for the world. I’m so thankful to every counselor, coach, and friend I’ve made at camp. HUGGEEEEEE thank you to the amazing Ping family and Dr. Tom Schwartz as this camp wouldn’t even be close to complete without them. So glad I was able to end my final year at camp on a win go team Netherlands 🇳🇱!

(Also insta only let me tag 20 people and I met over 20 super awesome amazing people sooo that says something about how great this camp is too!)

Thank you to the University of Arizona and the Sport that has given me so much. 🐻⬇️

It’s been hard to find the words to describe how grateful I am for this journey and I couldn’t have asked for a better ending to this chapter in my life. Running has blessed me with memories I’ll never forget and friendships that will last a lifetime. Every step of this journey taught me something new — how to overcome injuries, push through workouts when things got tough, and understand that the things we want most in life take time, patience, and dedication to achieve.

I couldn’t have gotten there without the people this sport brought into my life. Every coach and athletic trainer along the way taught me something different. Coach P showed me the importance of the little things in practice, Lagat taught me that I’m Cade the son, friend, and brother before Cade the runner, Taylor and Angela showed me that Dry Needling really does work!?! and Jay taught me that the progress I desire most is found in the work I’m avoiding. And past that for my family for supporting me every step of the way.

And after all the early mornings, thousands of miles logged, hundreds of hours in the weight room, and countless hours in the training room, all for the pursuit of a simple goal, I’ve realized that the greatest thing this sport gave me wasn’t the free clothes or trips, or even the success on the track —it was the people and friendships I found along the way.

Thank you running and Bear Down🐻⬇️
