BETTER LATE THAN NEVERRRR!! 🏙️✨

ICDC 2026, you were nothing short of EXTRAORDINARY! From getting to see competitors from across the globe grinding for glass, to reconnecting with the most special friendships, being able to come together in this way (IN THIS CITY!) has been an absolute dream.

Reflecting back on this lifechanging DECA year, and seeing this transformative period with the incredible new teams, I can’t help but be overwhelmed with gratitude. 🥹

Gratitude for the PHENOMENAL 2025/26 Exec Team, as this group was truly one of one. Your energetic, passionate leadership has forever made a mark on me, and getting to build bonds with each of you is something i will FOREVER cherish.

For the 2026/27 KY DECA State Officer Team, as you guys are like my built-in best friends, and I’m so inspired by the work you have already accomplished in your term so far. Kentucky DECA is such a special association, and being able to represent this amazing community alongside such amazing people is a gift.

For all of the beautiful friendships I’ve made over this past year, as they are truly what I believe to be the heart of it all. From late night face-times and sweet treat runs, to taking ALL the pictures and going to ALLLL of the DECA nights, being able to grow alongside you has been absolutely everything to me. 💙

KENTUCKY DECA SHOWED UP AND SHOWED OUT AT ICDC THIS YEAR, and I cannot wait to see how this new year unfolds for our association, each new team, our members moving onto their next chapters, and this beautiful organization as a whole. DECA continues to reinvent the meaning of true growth and community, and I cannot wait for this spirit to carry on FARRRRR beyond ICDC!! 🙌🏼

Thank you @decainc for the best experience of a lifetime.

Serving as your Central Region Vice President this past year has shown me what truly drives this organization.
It starts with a simple choice: saying yes. Your growth is found in the moments you say yes to. The late-night prep sessions, the daunting yet friendly judge nodding along across the table, and the chance to meet someone new.
But, as a leader, I’ve learned that the greatest impact comes from creating opportunities for others and stepping back to let them lead.
My own journey was paved by people who did exactly that for me. To Hersey DECA(@hersey_deca) and Mr. Vesper, thank you for being my foundation. To Illinois DECA (@illinoisdeca) and Ms. Bear, thank you for believing in me when my battery ran low.
To our Central Region Association Officers: thank you for your daily dedication. Our record membership wouldn’t have been possible without your help.
And to the best team I could’ve ever asked for, Asher, Hannah, Mason, and Praveena, thank you for being by my side as we soared to new heights.
DECA, keep your energy high, and remember it just takes a simple yes to change your life. Thank you for the ride of a lifetime!

ICDC 2026 🐠🥤

I had a wonderful time at my third DECA International Career Development Conference last week. Though the presentation did not go as planned, the conference was still a tremendous success. Getting to meet and network with so many of the attendees is always an invaluable experience

To Team 67, it’s been a pleasure working alongside you all this year. You all have influenced the way I will continue to live my life not just as a leader, but as a person. I always looked up to each of your individual strengths and I know they will help you in whatever you all go on to do. Good luck with everything

To Team 68, thank you for making this conference such a phenomenal experience. The kindness and willingness to work you all showed me this past week as we began to get to know each other tells me this next year will not only be a blast, but filled with great success

To Mrs. Anderson, thank you for making my DECA journey so amazing these past three years. Although it is a bitter sweet moment saying this was my last conference with you, I know you’ll always be in my corner as I will be in yours. Best of luck with your new company
