A few honest thoughts cause what the hell! I never thought I would enjoy writing lyrics so much. I used to think they had to be really clever and vague and showcase some sort of poetic genius…but turns out for me, writing lyrics that are simple and honest and true to what I’m thinking about in my day to day has become the best way to capture my feelings and help process my experiences.

I love the lyrics on this album, and I hope you will too :)

p.s There have been a lot of sweet messages in my dms this week :’) and I just wanted to say thank you for the all support and love from the bottom of my heart!!

since I took so long off of releasing music I wanted to honor the past versions of myself that didn’t get to see the light along the way. writing this album was never about putting the music out into the world, maybe that’s why some of these songs are 4+ years old. the way I look at writing and releasing is very different. they serve two completely different purposes to me. the writing is for emotional release and processing, and putting it out into the world is about letting go and moving on, and connection. i realize both are equally important.
