IN VAIN MY ROVING THOUGHTS
TEXT: Anne Steele
MUSIC: Christopher Miner

1. In vain my roving thoughts would find / A portion worthy of the mind
On earth my soul can never rest / For earth can never make me blest

2. Can lasting happiness be found / Where seasons roll their hasty round
And days and hours with rapid flight / Sweep cares and pleasures out of sight

Bridge: Come, Lord, thy powerful grace impart / Thy grace can raise my wandering heart
To pleasure perfect and sublime / Unmeasured by the wings of time

3. Let those bright worlds of endless joy /My thoughts, my hopes, my cares employ
No more, ye restless passions, roam / God is my bliss and heaven my home (Bridge)

End: No more, ye restless passions, roam / God is my bliss and heaven my home

DRAW NEAR TO ME
TEXT: Horatius Bonar
MUSIC: Kevin Twit, Michelle Raybourn
Draw Near To Me
(Words by Horatius Bonar, alt. Raybourn and Twit,
Music by Raybourn and Twit)
1. O Strong, to save and bless / My rock, and righteousness
Draw near, draw near to me
Turn not, away Thy face / Withhold not, Thy needed grace
Draw near, draw near to me
Chorus: Tis knowing Thee that Heals / Tis seeing Thee that seals
My comfort and peace, my comfort and peace
Show me Thy cross and blood / My Savior and My God Let troubles cease, let troubles cease
2. Descend, thou mighty love / Descend, from heaven above
Draw near, draw near to me
Bind up, this broken heart / Heal every bruised part Draw near, draw near to me (repeat chorus)
3. Oh, answer me, my God Thy love, is deep and broad Draw near, draw near to me Draw near, draw near to me

I was going to see @girlpuppy this weekend as part of a larger gig, but it got cancelled. Luckily, she was able to quickly put together a very cool headlining show at @babysallright with talented friends @blaketheman1000 & Olive Bernard @oliveimgonnaeatyou

What can I say? Tour with @sarahkinsleyd was a blast and a half. I’m so grateful to have been a part of such a talented crew and to have met some amazing people and stellar musicians in @girlpuppy and @burgchar . Here’s a little bit of what we did. For a full account you’ll have to wait until my book “My Life, If You Can Believe It” comes out. I’m still shopping it around 🤝
