feeling as loved and in love as i could be as i head into this new chapter. 28 was my first full year in oregon since i was 17, without trying to leave or trying to get back. i’m so happy to be sticking around.

thank you @clichemacchiato & @coopfg for the documentation, on the same camera, decades apart 🫶

the centerpiece gallery scene in WAKING UP FROM A NAP ON A LONG DAY OF DOING NOTHING is filled with paintings, drawings, ceramics, handmade puppets, and photographic prints by local Portland artists. at the heart of the show is Ezra’s painting of the late David Wojnarowicz, by the wonderful @emmett_art_man

Ezra’s poem is taken from “Guilielmus Rex” by Thomas Bailey Aldrich. tucked around his apartment, you can also spot calligraphy by Bill “The Swede” Gunderson and stained glass art by @coopfg

come see all of this beautiful work on the big screen at the Hollywood Theatre on Monday, August 17th at 7:30pm! tickets at the link in my bio!
