The air was freezing, the climb was relentless, but the views made every step worth it. Three peaks conquered. ๐Ÿ”๏ธโ›…๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ’• 1-Timber Peak, 2-Telegraph Peak, 3-Thunder Peak . Definitely one for the books! #goodvibes#hikemoreworryless#naturelover#lovetowander#forevermypeaceโ›ฐ๏ธ

No medal, no large crowds, no start or finish line, just me putting in the work.
โ€‹It took over a month of training to pull off my biggest challenge of the year, but 50k is officially in the bag! Huge thanks to my friends for supporting me every step of the wayโ€”I couldn't have done it without you guys. โค๏ธ

Team 2. Mount Whitney.

Another group of incredible people who showed up, pushed themselves, supported one another and created their own story on this mountain.

Every group had a different experience, and every one deserves to be celebrated. Proud of you all.

Follow us to the top.

P.S. This one was meant to be included in the previous Whitney carousel, and it absolutely deserved its own moment.

We came to Whitney as three separate groups, beginning at different times, but this experience became so much bigger than reaching a summit.

There was our acclimation hike to Lone Pine Lake, campfires, dinners, breakfasts, people sharing food and supplies, charging each otherโ€™s phones and headlamps, sitting by the water, laughing, resting and preparing together. We even crossed paths with other hiking communities throughout the weekend, including our friends from VAMOS, who I hiked Whitney with last year. Thank you for your friendship, your humility and for blending right in with our community.

Then came the mountain. For most of us, this was our first attempt at Whitney. Some reached the summit, some made the difficult decision to turn around, and some returned the following day and accomplished it at their own pace. Every person walked away with a different experience and their own story.

One of my favorite moments was seeing members of our crew who were hiking Whitney the following day waiting at the Portal with a banner, water and cold drinks, cheering everyone back in before beginning their own adventure.

And a huge thank you to Simon for making 45 custom Mount Whitney coins for everyone who showed up. Whether you summited or turned around, that coin is yours. If I didnโ€™t get one into your hands, please reach out to me.

Five months ago, this was just an idea. Since then, Iโ€™ve watched people train, struggle, become stronger, build friendships and accomplish things they werenโ€™t sure they could do.

We all have different takeaways from this weekend. Keep the good. Reflect on the difficult. Learn from it and keep moving forward.

Getting to the top was never the only accomplishment. Making it back down, knowing your limits, taking care of one another and becoming stronger through the journey mattered too.

Iโ€™m incredibly proud of everyone who became part of this experience.

Our first Mount Whitney. One hell of a weekend weโ€™ll never forget.
