(SDV)’s scenography for HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE at Tate Modern in London.

(SDV) created a landscape of cutouts inspired by the collage methodology of Henri Matisse. The cutouts housed both Homme Plissé’s garments as well as a replica of The Snail. The performers engaged with the architecture by peeling of the layers, reveal the garments, wear them and eventually transform the space. Being hidden at first the landscape ended bare with traces from an encounter left behind.
