🌹 Today’s DOB 🌹💦👚📚

💦 Drink: Water

👚 Outfit: My “Very Feral, Very Bookish, Not Very Demure” shirt from my fav book merch owner Corina at The Divine Collective, which might as well have been made for our FMC Rowan because that is her energy.

📚 Book: Ravenrose by A.J. Wilding

Is he her enemy? No. Worse. He’s the man holding her captive and he hates her kind.

Rowan is hiding things. Ayer has his own reasons for believing what he believes. Everybody has questions. I had theories. Then you spend the book where everyone is untangling what they think they know about each other.

Most of my theories went directly in the trash. 😂

The dynamic between these two was so damn good because neither one is making this easy on the other. Rowan especially has that “you may have me captive but good luck getting me to behave” energy that I absolutely adore in an FMC. Then you have Ayer that is unexpected at every turn and absolutely had me shook the entire time.

And yes, this is the book that had me up until 2 AM because I kept getting sucked in harder and harder.

💖 Forced proximity
💖 Enemies to lovers
💖 Romantasy
💖 Captive FMC
💖 Fae, demons & humans
💖 Political alliances
💖 Mystery
💖 Hidden magical powers

Happy Release Day, A.J. Wilding! 🌹🖤

Today’s DOB 💦👚📚

💦 Drink: water

👚 Outfit is my Divine Collective trigger warning shirt from Corina

📚 Book of the day is Decimation by Ellie Sanders.

ALC from Blue Nose Audio. Releases 9/2.

🎙️Narrated Joe Arden and Juniper Reyes.

Obviously, Joe is my favorite and I’ve listened to him a ridiculous number of times. I even listened to Joe live narrate parts of this in the Audio Attic. I KNEW some of these scenes were coming.

Did that help me? No.

Juniper, was completely new to me. Girl. Slow clap.

The difference between Ines and Leandra was incredible. Ines has this creep factor that is SOMETHING ELSE, while Leandra is going through absolute hèll with Isaac and Ezekiel, and Juniper made them feel like completely different people. I was seriously blown away by her performance.

This is also one only two books I’ve read where the MMC feels every bit as wrecked as the FMC. This is also the book that comes along and starts stitching some of those wounds. It’s basically mòrphine after the previous books.

Pretty sure Joe and Ellie stöćholmed me into loving Lazarus. Should that concern me? Probably.

His obsession with her is ALARMING.

Now, would I recommend this series? YES… with a giant flashing CHECK YOUR WARNINGS sign.

And if you’re normally someone who says, “I don’t have triggers, I don’t check warnings.” Cool. Check them anyway or at least don’t come for us when you are steam rolled. 😆

This is genuinely one of the darkest series I have ever read. It is incredibly well written and this audio performance is phenomenal, but Ellie is going to take you places.

I’ve said before that I think books are art and the best art makes you feel things.

Ellie? Ma’am. I was not prepared to feel THIS MANY THINGS.

You’re an artist and emotional devastation is your palette. @elliesandersauthor @bluenoseaudio @therealjoearden @thejuniperreyes #darkromance #pitchblack #hefallsfirst #forcedproximity #enemiestolovers

“Every bourbon is whiskey, but not every whiskey is bourbon. There are rules for bourbon to be called bourbon.”
“In Fiasco, Kentucky there’s one more rule that loosely relates to the bourbon that’s made there: Never fall for a Foxx brother.”

Listen I LOVE a dark pitch black romance but my bestie @samantha_crow22 not so much😅 So our local bookstore suggested we try this for our book club and I’m so freaking glad she did! While I love all the Foxx brothers Daddy Ace will always be my favorite 🤤🥵

And how cute is this shirt from The Divine Collective by @corinareadssmut

I swear it, Im good girl but I've got bad knees 🤷‍♀️

Loving this sweatshirt from Dine Collection created by @corinareadssmut

With sweater season around the corner I am always looking for any excuse to add new sweatshirts to my closet. My only regret, was not buying a 2nd one in a different color.

Looks like I'll be going back for more soon 😅

Photo dump of the event at @therippedbodice where we got to hear @tatejamesauthor @avina.stgraves and @authorleighrivers chat about their books and how they love to torture us readers with cliff hangers or ripping our hearts out. These women are incredible and I was so thankful to be in attendance and meet Leigh for the second time 🖤

I also got to finally meet @pumpkinspicedreader who is a dream and the sweetest soul ever. 🥹

I can’t thank these authors enough for traveling all this way, and doing an event right after a three day in Boston. You are fucking rockstars. Can’t wait to see what’s in store ✨

Best team to be apart of 🖤
