Tezzus just delivered one of the most heartfelt and grounded moments the underground has seen all year. While streaming with PlaqueBoyMax, the YSL signee opened up about the origins of his crew, explaining how he met EA TJ (@ea.tjj) and his other Øway brothers: “I was a lonely child so I found my family through the streets.” Recognizing that this was EA TJ’s first major platform, Tezzus proudly wrapped his arm around him, labeled him his first artist, and gave him a proper, heavyweight introduction to the thousands watching.
It was a huge moment for EA TJ, who has been steadily building a name alongside close affiliates Lil Righteous (@lilrighteouss) and EaLuhPk (@ealuhpk55). Before catching the eyes of major streaming audiences, TJ was grinding out solo singles and recruiting Tezzus and ShawtyRokk to cameo in his “Pour Up” music video. His massive breakout arrived courtesy of his two standout features on UY SCUTI BØYS, the highly anticipated collaborative tape by Tezzus and diamond*. Tezzus explicitly stated that his goal with the project was to uplift his collective, helping smaller members cross the 10K–20K Spotify monthly listener industry milestone so they could secure record deals. For EA TJ, the plan worked flawlessly—his numbers didn’t just meet the target; they skyrocketed straight to 50K.
The industry is already taking notice of the young Atlanta talent. Fans and tastemakers alike are labeling EA TJ as the clear choice for “next up,” a sentiment aggressively co-signed by FittsBryce, whose predictions for the scene are always accurate. Furthermore, since Young Thug actively co-signs Lil Righteous and was recently spotted filming the crew’s explosive Rolling Loud May 2026 performance like a proud father, it is safe to assume the YSL boss has his eyes on EA TJ as a high-potential target for a label signing.
From surviving the trenches as a self-described lonely child to engineering a 50K-monthly-listener launchpad for his day-ones, does Tezzus’s brotherhood make Øway the most genuine collective in rap history? 👀
