POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Jonah’s Bed, my first song, is finally here!

This moment is a culmination of many years and is the start of something much bigger.

I want to give thanks to some people, who I truly could not have done this without:

Jake and Noah at @wonderhaus_studio for their production and mixing, as well as instrumental support on drums, bass, and keys.

The wonderfully talented Adelaide Karee for the hand-drawn cover art.

Willow at @bakerymastering for her mastering expertise.

Miles, who ultimately inspired this song, and his older brother, Jonah, who I’m certain didn’t know how much his open bed meant to me.

Please give it a listen; I hope you enjoy!

More soon,
Korosy

Look, we all forget stuff. Sometimes you forget to add the effect you wrote an entire part of the song around. That actually happened twice on ‘A New Age of Decay’ (the other one was the beginning of RABBIT). We hope you enjoy @seahlater’s best “fake delay pedal” at the beginning of TANGERINE.

I can’t resist misusing gear to make unusual fuzz tones, so I’m documenting my experiments 🔬🧪 I’m a sucker for DI guitar & while there aren’t any controls, the cloudlifter was real easy to pop in the chain after my DI 🪩

BTS of our newest and final single, DISSIPATE, with Jord tracking the chorus and second verse. This song has a ton of great energy. Hope this makes it onto your playlist of heavies!

“Getting older’s feeling glad
You’ve lived enough to have
Things that feel like home”

This song basically produced itself as soon as we got in the room together. Keira brought in a certified banger that is also deeply introspective & reflective. I had the inkling to play guitar instead of piano, Keira laid down the massive OBERHEIM bass, Noah gave his most hard-hitting, reverb-drenched 80s groove, and before we knew it we had written a new bridge & recorded the whole foundation of the song.

Some BTS of DISSIPATE - Jake and Jon in the control room of Wonderhaus Studio, Jon providing vocals via talk back to the band in the live room (Noah/Jordan/Brig), writing + tracking in real time. Today’s word of the day is AI. AI stands for Absolute Incineration. That’ll be code word for Dissipate. Happy trails kid 🚀🧨#metal #heavymetal #recording

Corretta blends elements of metal, prog, post hardcore, and experimental rock to create something new and ever-changing. Their forthcoming album ‘A New Age of Decay’ (out on 6/20/26) is the band’s heaviest effort yet, with cathartic and vulnerable songs that feature more screamed vocals, nastier guitar tones, and more time signature tomfoolery than previous releases. Long songs happen, guitar solos happen, and a lot of raw aggression happens. What you get is a mix of flavors reminiscent of bands like TOOL, Every Time I Die, Dream Theater , and Glassjaw, with a taste all its own.

Corretta’s 2019 debut “I” was an hour-long conceptual prog epic, and the project around which the band formed. Vocalist Jon Gibson, guitarists Jordan Seah and Brig Urias and drummer Noah Dearborn have spent the years since refining their sound. 2023’s “Dip Cone” EP was a window into the future with its sludgy textures and organic vitality, and helped the band to refine their process: track drums and bass live, don’t use a click, and do it for real, all with the goal of creating heavy music that gives modern technicality and aggression the space to move and breathe. #metal #rock #prog #heavy
