this one hurt.

it took some time to come to terms with my performance, especially since my total has never dipped before (should have opened w 210 squat bah @pep.gravitas ) but hey, it happens to the best of us and a wise man cornelius tang once asked me, “if you didn’t PR on the platform, would you still love the sport?”, and i couldn’t answer that question, not until last weekend.

i could go on and on about everything that went wrong last weekend but enough sad yapping

firstly, thankyou @elevatebbc.sg for having such an amazing and supportive environment! had a whole lot of fun prepping at elevate (maybe too much fun ngl)

secondly, to @skwatfarts as usual, for having my back and being my bestestbestsestfriend and partner in the world💖 didn’t hit the qt but its ok i never needed one since youre alr a qt (might die for being too gay online ngl)

lastly, to my coach @cornpoundlifts , its been a good 3.5 years. from a fresh out of wayang NS totaling 532.5 to a 620. thats almost a hundred keys added to my total and looking back, thats hella cool. beyond the numbers and PRs, i will forever be grateful for the mental resilience aspect that he has preached and practiced over the years that has shaped me to be a better athlete, and as a newbie coach to my 3 athletes (shoutout nash evan and dia) man its been a wonderful journey full of ups and a loads of crashouts and questionsble load selections (overshooting) over the years. genuinely think i changed from flats to heels as often as i change my clothes jk

one to the next one and @jordanosaur_ rematch and race you to 260 deadlift

First international meet in the books and i’m more than honoured to represent the country (not NTU LEL) Special thanks to @a7.singapore & @_layzebiko_ for the sick a7 kit along wth the NTU x a7 comp shirt👏

Where do I even start.. I sincerely enjoyed the first 3 out of the 4 weeks peak and training was going pretty damn well hitting spicy numbers across all 3 lifts and then came the lovely week 4 of peak where i had hormat SAF + outfield + inability to train properly which left my body in a pretty bad place (somehow managed to squat 210 on week 4 but died on bench and deads)

As if having a poopy week 4 wasn’t bad enough, my first taper session in Turkey was heavily rushed aka SBD in 30 mins was sincerely illegal but it is what it is which honestly made me skeptical if i was able to even hit QT (i did not xd)

Overall super happy with how squats went bagging a 10kg pr. Contented with bench despite benching more in Reformed 2.0 and honestly really disappointed with how deadlifts went. To be really honest my legs were fried golden crispy after that rpe 10 grind on squat which honestly made 225 feel and move like 240 and hence 245 on meet day already move like a near 10 despite hitting 240 @8 during the peak.

3rd meet in the books with @cornpoundlifts and i’m beyond thankful for your guidance and time despite having LIFE PRs!

Special thanks to @lift_ng for 10/10 meet day handling with 10/10 calls. I had a really enjoyable time during the meet eventhough you said 200 (lwu) moved easy (it was rpe 7+ alr)

Last but not least my partner, my best friend, my everything @skwatfarts for giving all your time, love and support in every way you can think of💖

Ill get 620 the next time.

2nd meet in the books with @cornpoundlifts and we achieved our goals for this meet which was to hit the QT and break 600 (close enuf bah)👏🤝 thankyou so much for all your guidance and patience with me thus far and lets work towards more gains in the future 💖

All I can say is that I’m contented but hungry for more and ill definitely be back with more!

Squats was my least confident lift but yet the only 3/3 lift that I got. It felt good to finish squats off at 210kg with some space left in the tank! hehe getting a step closer to the 5 gym bro plate squats😭

bench….. ironically is my fav and strongest lift but unfortunately went south. 4 attempts, probably 6 unracks and a total net time of 40s isometric hold but did not manage to chip the tertiary record that @matt2u74 set but nonetheless felt good to put a 0.5KG plate on the bar. Yesterday’s bench just exposes my weakness on bench which i never realised and figured that my elbows were soft and that just give me more room for improvement to build a stronger bench! Kudos to everyone who fought for me to get that reattempt @journeytodwes @cornpoundlifts @fluffyliftz but I was honestly shagged out alr after unracking and holding the bar several times! Will forever be grateful TEEHEE

ah that 252.5kg fail will haunt me for abit. bad habit of tryna lock out asap instead of being patient led to this fail. I had 0 intention of tryna to fight for third but it was kinda fun to contest for third with this deadlift hahahahhaa BUT im super contented with being 4th bcs i already hit my goals for this meet👏

Thanks @powerliftingsingapore and @tertiarypowerliftingunion for this meet and the opportunity and honour to be part of primetime!

Saving the best for last, thankyou my number 1 fangirl supporter, bestfriend, gf for sticking through thick and thin not just for this prep but for academic gainz and relationship gainz too💖💖🎀🎀 thanks for believing even when everything seems to be falling apart💅🥹 @skwatfarts

Ill be back!
