📍 Lucy Wong, Fitzrovia [ ad / invite ] If you are looking to do something festive this Christmas but also love Asian food, @lucywonglondon has combined the two for a festive afternoon tea with a Chinese twist! Today, we kicked off Lunar New Year with an early feast at Yú Gé Cantonese Cuisine with the foodie squad (aka, Bunch of Beggars) 🫣 📍Yú Gé Cantonese Cuisine. 7 Nine Elms, London SW8 5PH. Not gonna lie, this place is boujee, so it’s perfect if you’re looking to flex or impress someone special 😌 We went all in on their Lunar New Year menu, and here’s the breakdown: Starters: - Vegetarian Lettuce Cup - Seafood Dumpling Soup with Fat Choy - Marinated Jellyfish with Five Spices Beef Shank - Signature Peking Duck (obviously 🙌) Mains: - Braised Abalone with Corn-Fed Chicken - Steamed Red Grouper with Ham and Shiitake Mushroom - Honey Glazed Iberico BBQ Pork - Tofu and Aubergine Claypot with Black Bean Sauce - Vegetarian Fried Rice Dessert: - Pan-fried Niangao Big shoutout to @parkhyattlondonriverthames and Yú Gé for the invite! Celebrating @yourboybenz’s birthday by making bulgogi japchae for his potluck 🎉✨ One of my favourite foods is japchae and I love it with bulgogi 😋 I make the marinade from scratch and use it as a sauce for the noodles so nothing gets wasted. I used rump steak which I dry aged for 5 days and marinated for 24 hours. It was a huge hit at the party, I love it when people enjoy my food 🥹 Such a fun birthday celebration 🫶🏼✨
