Destruct, Absolut, Corrosives, Power Vacuum

You're a sucker if you missed out on this show. In celebration of their new EP, Destruct and Absolut got together to play a show that was uncompromising. Destruct had some of the tightest playing I've seen this year, especially from their drumming - which is unsurprising, Richmond fucking rules for this kind of thing. Absolut's set was a lesson in using raw power to assault the ears in the best way possible. And to help open the night, Corrosives and new band on the block Power Vacuum were shredding their asses off while also splicing in new songs of their own. A night full of metal and d-beat for those in the know, bands competing with each other to see who's sound can blow out the speakers first. And all it really cost was a little more hearing damage than usual.

(Photographer's note: Excellent newer band. Glad I checked them out. Shout to @sadatomator_138 for telling me about Corrosives. Also been more inspired to take pictures again after meeting @kodak.yelloh & @lukejeffjames in Texas. Forgot I like taking photos of newer projects.)
