Countless memories have been made at Corvino over the years - Anniversaries, Birthdays, Weddings, Dinner Dates, Happy Hours, Musicals, NYE Bashes, Night Caps…this was just a fraction of the photos I could squeeze in. The Vielhauer’s are beyond blessed to have been there from the birth of this establishment to tonight. You all will be missed dearly. 🥂❤️ Cheers friends- tonight we slap the bag one final time! 😬😂😉

Kansas City… this one is a gut punch for local fine dining. ♻️ Share this with the friend who always said “we HAVE to go” but never made it. 🕯️ Corvino Supper Club & Tasting Room is closing after nearly nine years in the Crossroads, with its final night on New Year’s Eve. If you’ve ever celebrated something big, planned a special date night, or just loved a place that made KC feel a little more iconic, this is one of those moments that hits. 🎷 What made Corvino different wasn’t just the fine dining. It was the whole vibe, the live music, the “this feels like a movie” energy, and the way it became a bucket list spot for so many of us. 😳 And here’s the part that surprised me: they had plans to sell earlier this year, but that deal fell through, and now we’re officially down to the last night. 🥲 Real talk, my wife and I never got the chance to go, but it was always on our list. So if you’ve been saying “one day,” this is your sign to turn it into “today.” ♻️ Share this with the friend who needs to see it.

We had our last supper at @corvinokc last night. I’m heartbroken, but sometimes things must end. While Corvino fell on the fine dining side, it felt approachable. I dined solo so many times there between events or after meetings. I could get the most delicious broccoli and a glass of wine or wolf down a burger and beer. It is where we would take visiting chefs and clients. It was also a family space, kids eating out late…no judgment there. During the pandemic seaweed donuts and fried chicken became a respite. The master of ceremonies, Christina always making sure people were taken care of. Always open to anyone in the industry to talk about hurdles of building a small business. Thank you Christina for listening so many times over a glass of vino. Chef Michael with his impeccable taste, building a fun menu that was shareable and perfectly executed. Seaweed donuts with dipping cream and roe, popping a burst of textures, yes please. Chinese broccoli with whipped tofu drenched in chili crisp… more please! And who can forget seasonal peas? Of course the burgers, whatever version of potatoes they had and the fried chicken was outstanding. That hot sauce, my gawd! I’m truly saddened to see this KC institution go away, but very grateful for the memories. Always and forever a Corvino fan. 🖤

Pour one out for Corvino. 🖤🐦‍⬛🥂 I was lucky to get to paint this as a watercolor and ink commission for a lovely client who requested hand-painted details like a martini in a rocks glass and many of the KC restaurant’s iconic dishes (aka the seaweed donuts!!). I’ll miss the moody atmosphere, live jazz, seaweed donuts and trout roe, crispy pork ribs and that delicious burger the most. What dishes are you missing already? I hope anyone who loves Corvino gets to enjoy it one last time before their final NYE dinner service comes to a close. 🥂 If not, then this reel is for you too. Thank you for the memories, @corvinokc ! 🐦‍⬛ Watch the rest of my Painting Iconic KC Restaurants Series and follow for more artist foodie things. #artcommission #kcrestaurants #corvino #kceats #kansascityfood

Corvino Supper Club... ••• For five years, you were more than a restaurant in Kansas City, you were an experience, a mood, a meeting place for food lovers. You showed up for KC with elegance without being stuffy, creativity without pretension, and hospitality that felt warm and earned. ••• As a foodie, I watched you push the city’s palate forward. You didn’t just follow trends, you trusted your vision. Seasonal menus, live music drifting through the room, late nights that felt cinematic. Every visit felt like a special occasion, even when it wasn’t. ••• Corvino felt important. It felt like a place where you could dress up, slow down, celebrate something or nothing at all, and be fully present. A place where conversation flowed as easily as the cocktails and the food invited you to sit with it, to savor, to talk about it long after the plate was cleared. ••• Dec. 31 may mark the end of this chapter, but your impact on Kansas City’s food scene and on those of us who loved you will linger. Thank you for the flavors, the music, and the magic. ••• XOXO - A KC foodie who will always remember how you made us feel. ••• . . . #kansascityeats #kcfoodie #visitkc
