You love your home. But does it still fit the life you want to live?

It’s a conversation we’re having more often with longtime homeowners in Santaluz, Rancho Santa Fe, and throughout San Diego.

The home where you raised your family, celebrated milestones, and made countless memories may now come with more space, stairs, and maintenance than you really need.

So, do you renovate to make it work for the years ahead? Or is it time to consider something that better fits your next chapter?

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. And moving isn’t always the right one.

In our latest article, we’re exploring the practical, financial, and lifestyle considerations behind that decision, including aging-in-place renovations, Proposition 19, and five questions worth asking before making a move.

Because the goal isn’t simply to find your next home. It’s to make sure your home supports the life you want.

JUST LISTED | LIFE ALONG THE FAIRWAY

There are homes that belong to their setting. 7929 Entrada De Luz East is one of them.

Set along the 16th fairway in guard-gated Santaluz, this Tuscan-inspired residence looks across the golf course toward Black Mountain, with an easy connection between the architecture, interiors, and landscape.

Saltillo tile, wrought iron, beamed and coffered ceilings, and three fireplaces give the home a sense of character that feels collected rather than contrived. French doors open to a series of patios designed for the way San Diego is meant to be enjoyed—dinner outside, evenings by the fire, and quiet mornings overlooking the fairway.

The main-level primary suite enjoys its own fireplace and peaceful views, while a detached casita with full bath offers guests a private retreat. A beautifully appointed kitchen, owned solar, and a three-car tandem garage complete the residence.

Beyond the gates, Santaluz offers a lifestyle of its own, with membership opportunities for golf on the Rees Jones-designed course, tennis, pickleball, fitness, dining, and more.

Schedule your private showing today.

San Diego’s housing market may be cooling—but its luxury market is quietly having a record year. 📈

The latest numbers from the $2M+ market tell a very different story from the broader headlines.

April saw roughly 300 luxury closings, June followed with about 290, and July reached approximately 258—all standout months compared with recent years.

And while buyers now have more homes to choose from, increased inventory hasn’t translated into a lack of demand. Luxury market time spent much of 2026 running faster than it did during the same period last year.

So what does this mean if you’re considering selling?

More inventory means pricing, presentation, and marketing matter even more. Buyers are active, but they’re also more selective—and the homes positioned to stand apart are the ones best equipped to capture that demand.

In our latest article, we break down the August numbers, what we’re seeing in San Diego’s luxury market, and the strategy we believe matters most for sellers right now.
