Ahead of the release of his Mixtape "Still in My Head’, we caught up with @gbenga3k for the first of our editorial series.

The Tottenham rapper spoke to us about growing up in North London, finding his own lane and returning to music when life gets in the way. Around ten years into making music professionally, he reflects on what’s changed since his 2021 project and the experiences that brought him back to tell his story.

From a family photograph with a baby Skepta to giving the producers behind his music their credit, there was plenty to get into.

‘Still in My Head’ is out now.

Thank you to GBNGA for sharing his story, and to everyone who put their time and effort into bringing this together 💚

Powered By YANA is our culturally observant in-house creative lab. A home for original ideas,
experiences and cultural projects developed and produced by the studio.

Our first event, delivering a sold out immersive solo exhibition celebrating the intersection of engineering and set design, showcasing @bfixedit_ journey from mechanical engineer to set designer for major artists and
brands.

YANA came on board as Producer + Brands & Partnerships Manager, helping bring the exhibition to life. Special thank you to @jubelbeer for keeping the party alive!

@bfixedit_ is a longtime partner of the studio and we’re incredibly proud. Celebrating her journey so far felt like the right place to start.

When I was developing the exhibition, I wanted it to function as a spatial narrative rather than just a traditional portfolio. @cos_mina08 creative direction introduced a conceptual framework that allowed this to happen!

I hope you’re able to experience this as you walk through the exhibition 😅

Thank you so much @cos_mina08 and see you all the exhibition!!

BFIXEDIT: THE EXHIBITION

Tickets are now available on my website bfixedit.co.uk or in the link in my bio!

This exhibition is a personal project completely self funded using all of my savings 😭. I really appreciate all the support I’ve received so far, I honestly can’t believe it but this shows me how important it is to give back. What I aim to be able to give back at the end of this year is opportunities, knowledge and experience. Thank you all and see you at the exhibition!!

PS. The 9th is my birthday so I’ll be using this event as a celebration also 😅💕
