Thank you to everyone who came out last night for the opening of Ben Sloat’s Prayer Can’t Just Be Asking, and especially to everyone who entered the space with such care and thoughtfully became part of the work.

Participation took many forms: lighting incense while holding a thought or intention, sitting quietly in meditation, or leaving behind a note, drawing, or offering. Each gesture became part of the installation and the experience we shared together.

And thank you, Ben @sloatie for your vision, generosity, and beautiful work. During the opening, Ben led us outside to the water, where we took a collective moment to consider the ills of our world and release them through marigolds set afloat on the slow-moving river.

A simple and beautiful gesture, and a reminder of what this exhibition asks of us: prayer can be more than asking. It can be an action, an offering, a moment of attention, or something we release and allow the current to carry away. 🌼

Thank you to everyone who shared the evening with us and contributed to making it so special.

Made this a few years ago for “12 Club” - 12 artists making 12 pieces over 12 months with 12 themes. We should do it again !
@cosburn4 @paoconnor1964

The theme of this one was “autobiographical” so the smooth , 14k gold hammered side with the diamond is my chill side and the other side is my creative “monkey mind” with my Jewlery shapes, a hand representing handmade, the spike representing my first design - the spike ring. Ruby for heart. Diamond for strength. Wing to fly. Xo

Amazing afternoon yesterday at @minnewaskastateparkpreserve with this x-country crew! Feels great to be back on skis after so many years. Shoutout @rockandsnow for outfitting me with excellent gear. Never thought I’d be saying this, but… I think I’m learning to love winter. Can’t wait to get back out there!

How lucky am I to have such a beautiful group of friends to share Art Basel Miami with? I know the art is rather conspicuously missing here…but this trip is all about my loves. May we all experience the joy of @ruthlancer in a swimming pool in December while it is 3 degrees in NY.

Throwback to one of my favorite Halloween porch projects. Christina and I built this hellmouth for trick or treaters to walk up tongue ramp that went all the way to the street...and it was squishy.
