ISSUE ( III ) SINK
[email protected]
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
I am truly rubbish at posting regularly, but spending last night going through the final proofs of @cose.journal’s forthcoming issue (IV, can you believe it?) reminded me of how lucky I am to get to commission and read the work of so many talented writers, writers without whom the magazine wouldn’t even exist. There is such a range to the pieces we publish every year – poetry, short stories, interviews, essays, reported features, flash fiction, narrative non-fiction – and it’s a joy to immerse yourself in it the old way, glasses on the nose, paper crinkling between your fingers. Sometimes I catch myself thinking of 6-year-old Gilda dreaming of becoming a writer. She must be somewhere, still, smiling back at 28-year-old me. Cheesy, I know, sorry.

Part I. Excerpts from COSE Journal’s Issue ( III ), Sink. With Emma Aars, Yasmin Alrabiei, Jonathan Bazzi, Gilda Bruno, Olga Campofreda, Lea Colombo, Tamara Davison, Ella Eckersley, Livia Franchini, Francesca Gavin, Anna Jewsbury, Sam Nathan John, Sam Kemp, Ana Kraš, Giulia Nardi, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Wanda Orme, Rafael Prieto, Sharmadean Reid, Dan Thawley, Ann-Marie Voina, Joe Williams, Pirrie Wright

149 photographs shot in one day, for the newest book “BALAY - Atlas of Objects from Ray Ibarra’s Collection”

Balay is a sentimental almanac of objects collected by Ray Ibarra over years of travel. Gathered through chance and shaped by attention, each object becomes part of a personal archive.
