Cosmic JD - Delphic Hallucination | Children Of The Sun (COTS004)

🔊 A1 - Angle Of Incidence

For the 4th release on Children of the Sun, we welcome our good friend and longtime collaborator, Cosmic JD, with a hardware heavy EP, a homage to the vintage art of magnetic recording.

Each track embodies Cosmic’s approach to music making: hardware based, machine finished. Raw, deep and instinctive, with every track printed to tape, giving the machines room to breathe and the sound its own character.

A record for the late night heads.

Videos don’t do it justice but here’s a few clips. All we can say is Thank You!

Thanks to our amazing team this year there’s too many people to mention but yous all know who you are. I just want to say without yous it would not have come together like this. It was a massive joint effort from everyone. The beautiful installations for our theme by @scarlet__dub and @pbbrc_dublin. @soundsgoodsystems for the sound. @bobdoyledesign @tented_2024 for the dome and stretch work yous are the best in the game. @injector_sound for all the countless times yous stepped in to give us a dig out. @kuki__fm and @ealulegra heads for jumping in to help in so many areas. @scart_broadcasting_systems for the visuals @danskithemanski on the lights. Just can’t explain the love and passion everyone shows ❤️

@fuinneamh_festival is a special place. Something we’ve been involved in long before Reclaim the Mainframe. We’ve spent weeks every single year working on this site and pouring our energy into this with our best friends and it’s just such an amazing feeling to run a stage there and to be able to book artists we know and love and to work with other collectives to create art together. It’s a dream come true but it’s also a dream that we’ve all worked extremely hard for and we’ve all made sacrifices for. Independent festivals away from greed and capitalist interests, solely focused on music, art, culture and self discovery and expression are hard work made possible by the people that give their time and energy. So much love for the team at Fuinneamh, we’ve grown up together and we come back stronger each year with such an amazing vision and crew ❤️

Massive thanks to all our artists who played and support our vision and approach, the music this year was another level from open to close each day. Thanks to our residents for teaming up helping create longer set times, the sick live sets from @americhord and @naturalsymphonylive DJs that flew in and delivered some spectacular performances @ngoni_ @marcelinawick @transmigration.berlin @cosmicjd @katjakomorebi @witchtrialsmusic ❤️

Lastly thanks to every dancer that came through the dome. Yous are legends 🪩

Love from the Mainframe xox
