Perhaps, the absolutely best is not a thing or an outcome, but the essence of what is real and enduring—something beyond the fleeting or the material.

Work continues on the community mural in New Connexion Street.

Extensive cleaning and then prepping the huge area in between the months of wet weather caused unforeseen delays but things are starting again.

If you see Cosmic in town working on the mural and say “1 minute portrait’ he will draw you in 1 minute flat ✏️

⭐️I had never so much as dared to dream of having a gigantic zine making table custom built for me and my printer but that dream did dare come true last weekend thanks to @cornwalltattooconvention1 and @cosmiclikespace 's skull-clad-paint-shack ⭐️

Ty to all the zine makers, late night yarners, pigeon themed poster creators, and badge making tyrants 🤟 and big ups to @sophiedeanna for the pics and always having the most appropriate playlist to hand 😘

P.S let it be known that I love photocopying foil x

It boosts visibility, apparently. ➡️

I’m out painting now while it’s cool and (relatively) quiet. Happy solstice 🙏✨☀️ X

Looking forward to the next time I get to balance on this absolute wonder of a man 😍 the amazing @jimmycain93 at @cornwalltattooconvention1 2025

We even made it into print in @totaltattoo magazine last year wearing the costumes I made us! So much of my life is mundane and challenging, these brief flashes of time where I am not just a disabled woman and a parent, and I can spend time with the loveliest humans in a little bubble we built for ourselves make it all worth it 🥰 @rainbow_circus_cic is a dream I could only have hoped to realise and I am grateful for this community we're creating every day 🙏

Manifestation and the Power of Thought. The idea of manifestation proposes that thoughts and intentions can shape reality. When combined with time travel, this concept becomes even more intriguing. If consciousness can influence outcomes, then a traveler’s beliefs might affect not only the present but also the past or future. This suggests reality could be partially constructed by perception. A focused mind might “select” certain timelines over others, aligning experience with intention. While this remains speculative, it highlights the connection between inner awareness and external events. Time travel, in this sense, becomes less about machines and more about understanding how thought and reality interact.

Case of the Wednesdays
This Wednesday at Jacob’s Ladder, Falmouth
3pm → midnight

An open, gently unfolding midweek happening.
People drift in with notebooks, poems, guitars, typewriters, half-finished ideas. Others come just to have a pint, sit, read, play cards, drink coffee, and see what develops.
Things are made. Conversations bubble.
Sometimes people collaborate. Sometimes nothing happens at all — and that’s part of it.
Free entry. Friendly, low-key atmosphere.
Arrive anytime. Stay as long as it feels right.

Hosted and led by Cosmic @cosmic.jagger

We are named @maslowhc after a psychological theory by Abraham Maslow called Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs.

This is what we asked mural artist @cosmic.jagger to depict when creating this art down our corridor.

Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs is a psychological theory proposing humans are motivated by five levels of needs, typically shown as a pyramid, where basic needs must be met before progressing to higher ones, moving from Physiological (food, water) to Safety, Love/Belonging, Esteem, and finally Self-Actualisation (reaching full potential). It explains human motivation as a progression from deficiency needs (bottom) to growth needs (top).

The Five Levels of Needs (Bottom to Top)

Physiological Needs: The most fundamental needs for survival, including air, food, water, shelter, sleep, and warmth.
Safety Needs: Security, stability, and freedom from fear, covering personal, financial, health, and property security.

Love and Belonging Needs: Social needs for friendship, intimacy, family, and a sense of connection or acceptance.
Esteem Needs: The need for self-respect, confidence, achievement, recognition, and respect from others.

Self-Actualisation: The highest level, representing the desire to fulfill one’s potential, achieve personal growth, and be the best one can be.

Six months on we are still as in love with Cosmic’s art as the day he finished it.

He certainly put us on the map!
